Gina Gershon on Accents and Playing a Sociopath in 'Ann Rule's Everything She Ever Wanted'

Over her nearly 25 years in the business, Gina Gershon has worn many hats.

Recently, she's been trying out her comedic chops with appearances on 'Curb Your Enthusiasm,' 'Ugly Betty' and 'Eastbound & Down.'

But this weekend, she'll take on quite a different role as the lead in the Liftetime two-part movie event, 'Ann Rule's Everything She Ever Wanted.' Gershon plays Pat Allanson, a privileged southern charmer who has a taste for the finer things in life -- and will stop at nothing to get them.

AOL TV recently spoke with Gershon about the miniseries, premiering Sun., Nov. 14 at 8PM.

TV Shows Most Likely to Be Canceled: We Made the Odds, Now Place Your Bets

It seems like just yesterday we were greeting the lineup of the 2009-2010 television season; every show was equal, and no show had a better chance at success than any other. What a difference a few weeks make, as now some series are already looking down the barrel of a shotgun, ready to be canceled with barely a few episodes out the gate. Television is a cutthroat world indeed -- here we look at the series that are currently on thin ice, and the odds that they'll come out the other side.

Don't agree with our odds? Let us know!

ABC:

'Ugly Betty'
It wasn't long ago that 'Ugly Betty' had its supporters in droves, proclaiming its brilliance to the heavens. Now, alas, the show seems to have been abandoned, allegedly returning this season only so it has enough episodes in the vault to qualify for syndication. Which it does, so there!
Odds of Cancellation: 2 to 1

America Ferrera Talks About Her 'Ugly Betty' Makeover

America Ferrera Ugly BettyThe bangs and glasses may be different this year, but there's one thing still the same about 'Ugly Betty': the woman behind the wire-rimmed smile, America Ferrera.

Yes, in case you hadn't heard, television's icon of frumpiness has gotten a bit of a makeover this season to go along with her promotion from assistant to editor. For Ferrera, though, the change is just part of the character's natural growth. "She's been at a fashion magazine for three years," the actress told us recently. "You'd think she'd start picking things up."

So what else might Betty be picking up this year? AOL TV went right to the source to find out all the details about the much buzzed about makeover and what lays in store for the character as the fourth season unfolds.

Our Favorite TV Bosses

Michael Scott The OfficeDon't you wish your boss were more like the bosses on TV? You know, wise, kind, smart, respectful ... oh, actually, never mind. TV bosses may not always be the best managers around, but at least they're entertaining. In honor of Boss' Day, here are 13 bosses who liven up the TV workplace, for better or (very often) for worse.

What to Watch: October 12-18

This week on TV: DJ AM's coda on MTV, 'Simpsons' Halloween episode, and welcome back, '30 Rock'!

MONDAY, OCT. 12
DJ AM'Gone Too Far' (10PM, MTV) series premiere
A little strange, and a lot sad, given the August death of Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein, this reality series stars the late Goldstein, himself a recovering drug addict, as he traveled around the country sharing his experiences with drugs and trying to help those crippled with their own addictions. In the premiere, Goldberg heads back to his hometown, Philadelphia, to assist with an intervention for a young heroin addict who refuses to go to rehab.

'Ugly Betty''s Extreme Makeover Gets Postponed

Ugly Betty'Ugly Betty' fans are going to have to wait a week longer to see Betty's long-awaited makeover, visits from such chic stars as Shakira and Jamie-Lynn Sigler, and the latest mysteries and mishaps at Mode magazine.

ABC is delaying the season 4 debut from this Friday, Oct. 9 to Oct. 16, when it'll air as a two-hour premiere before settling into its new 9PM Friday time slot.

Why the lag time? According to the Hollywood Reporter, ABC has been using its Friday night primetime desert to squeeze extra rerun value out of new and struggling shows. The bumping of 'Betty' allows the network to wring one more week's use out of that catch-it-if-you-missed-it slot.
