CSI Video GameThere will come a time, no doubt, when every show on TV will be turned into a video game to delight and distract us from all the other important stuff we're supposed to be doing in our lives.

CBS is stepping up to help contribute to our delinquency with a new slate of TV-based video games. They've already got two 'CSI' games on shelves, and six more are in the works for a number of systems, including the Wii, Nintendo DS, iPhone and iPod Touch.

We thought we'd help out by supplying a few possible scenarios for these upcoming games.

Survivor SamoaIn what Jeff Probst called the "scariest moment on 19 seasons" of 'Survivor,' contestant Russell Swan collapsed twice and appeared to be on the brink of death. He was the second 'Survivor: Samoa' player after Mike Borassi to be medically evacuated.

After the Galu tribe leader blacked out, Probst declared, "This challenge is over, neither tribe wins reward" -- making it the first time in 'Survivor' history that a challenge was unfinished. And though both teams were sent to tribal council to vote someone off, Probst informed them that everybody would be safe -- this week.

Russell on Survivor SamoaDon't ever take 'Survivor' for granted. The Oct. 22 episode of 'Survivor: Samoa' marks one of the few times in the show's nine-year history that production was halted for a medical emergency. (One of the most famous incidents: In season 2, Michael Skupin was evacuated by chopper after falling into a campfire.)

In a CBS TV ad for the episode, dreadlocked Pennsylvania attorney Russell Swan appears to faint while carrying a huge purple maze (you read that right -- he's carrying a maze), then hits the sand after whacking his head.

Host Jeff Probst's voiceover tells us, "[In] 19 seasons, it was the scariest moment I've ever had on this show," and the preview shows the lawyer receiving medical attention while his fellow castaways attempt to revive him.

The 'Samoa' edition premieres Thu., Sept. 17, followed by the network's Monday night comedy block, which includes the debut of Jenna Elfman's 'Accidentally on Purpose,' on Sept. 21.

Well, there's certainly no time wasted in this season premiere.

Season 18's 16 castaways are shipped off to the harsh interior Brazilian state of Tocantins, where they've already been divided into two teams. And before the contestants have a chance to form any alliances - or even get to know each others' names, for that matter - each team is forced to oust one player.

And that's a mere taste of the drama to come, from a contestant pool that includes a college soccer coach, a member of the R&B girl group SWV, a former Miss Ohio and, at age 19, Spencer Duhm, the youngest 'Survivor' contestant ever.

We've come quite a way since that naughty season opener where Marcus' junk fell out of his trunks.

Hard feelings over chocolate chip cookies, a marriage proposal and a girl named Sugar who's proved to be anything but sweet have marked this season, another filled with grungy, food-deprived existences and backstabbing.

Tonight, the winner is announced and the reunion after-show begins (10PM) immediately after. Will Matty go home with a fiancée and one meeeellion dollars? Could be. Meanwhile, though season 17 will be a memory after tonight, don't get too nostalgic; season 18 is already on the schedule for a Feb. 12 premiere.

It's all about 'The Office' romances in the season opener, as Jim's missing Pam (who's off in New York City at art school) and Michael's still loopy about newbie HR rep Holly (who actually may be his perfect match).

Meanwhile, Dwight, Angela and the hapless Andy are caught up in a little love triangle (even if one of them doesn't know it).

As for the rest of the Dunder Mifflin cube dwellers, the Scranton office is caught up in a weight-loss war with the other branches, and, as you might guess, such a sensitive topic can only lead to some particularly Dunder-headed remarks from the oh-so-politically incorrect Mr. Scott.
