Rebecca Mader Returning to 'Lost,' Says Carlton Cuse

Charlotte lives!

Or does she?

'Lost' executive producer Carlton Cuse confirmed in a tweet yesterday that Rebecca Mader - whose character, anthropologist Charlotte Lewis, died onscreen last season - has returned to the cast for the sixth and final season. On his Twitter feed, he wrote, "We are very happy to welcome Rebecca Mader back to LOST. Just saw some dailies of her new work. Awesome."

'Lost' Season 6 Premiere Date Announced: Feb. 2, 2010

'Lost' fans, prepare to go all night long.

Variety reports that ABC is kicking off the final season of 'Lost' in grand style with an all-night event on Feb 2. A special recap clip fest will begin at 8PM ET, followed by the two-hour premiere of the sixth season in its new, regular time slot at 9PM.

'Lost,' which is filmed entirely on location in Hawaii, debuted in September 2004 and has jumped around the network schedule -- airing Thursdays at 10PM, Wednesdays at 8PM and its most stable Wednesday 9PM spot.

'Lost' Creator Damon Lindelof Gives Us New Details on the Show's Final Season

Unexpected dish from 'Lost' creator Damon Lindelof falls like manna from heaven.

You never know when it's coming. When it does, you have all the answers you were seeking. Such was the case in Hollywood at Paramount's DVD launch party for 'Star Trek,' which Lindelof produced with his old 'Lost' friend J.J. Abrams.

"We have written 112 episodes, with about 9 more to go. We have come this far, so just trying not to screw it up," Lindelof told AOL at the 'Star Trek' event. "We really want the focus in the last year to be on the original castaways that we have been following since the beginning. But that doesn't mean there won't be a couple new flavors in the mélange. There are a couple new faces, but not as many as there have been in past seasons."

'Lost' Adds Yet Another Veteran TV Actor, Sheila Kelley of 'L.A. Law'

For most hit shows heading into their final season, adding new cast members is the last thing on the agenda. But then, 'Lost' isn't most shows.

According to Entertainment Weekly, 'Lost' will continue to add new characters to the mix right down to the wire, with the latest addition being 'L. A. Law' veteran Sheila Kelley. Kelley, who played the role of secretary Gwen Taylor on the popular legal drama for three years, will portray Kendall, "an intellectual beauty with a sharp edge to her wit who is caught committing corporate espionage and has to lie her way out."

Elizabeth Mitchell Gets Feisty and Talks 'V' Showdowns and Returning to 'Lost'

Elizabeth Mitchell, 'V'Elizabeth Mitchell has quickly become every geek's dream girl. Not only is she out for alien blood in ABC's new hit series 'V,' but she's also reprising her role as Juliet, the bomb-detonating bad girl gone good, for the final season of 'Lost.'

And did we mention she's positively lovely in person? That's a pretty amazing trifecta of awesomeness right there.

AOL TV visited the set of 'V' in Vancouver to chat with all of the cast members -- who were wrapping up the fourth and final installment of this first pod of episodes -- including the busy, multi-tasking Ms. Mitchell. While she wouldn't give too much away, she did talk about her character's feisty attitude, trigger temper and the "painful" battle to come.

Read our Q&A to get the full scoop on her inevitable showdown with V queen Anna and why you won't want to miss the first two minutes of the second episode. And if you're dying to hear about her return to 'Lost,' we've got a little tease of that too ...

Best TV Pilots: Series Premieres That Made Our Jaws Drop

VThis week's 'V' debut episode on ABC has some dazzling moments, including a few that may shock and surprise even viewers with vivid memories of the original 1983 miniseries. But does it belong on the list of all-time great TV series premiere episodes? Compare and contrast with the list below, featuring 10 of our favorite TV pilot episodes of all time.

10. 'The O.C.'
"Welcome to the O.C., bitch," says snobby jock Luke (Chris Carmack) to poor newcomer Ryan (Benjamin McKenzie). "This is how it's done in Orange County." For that exchange alone, this episode belongs in the pilot Hall of Fame.

J.J. Abrams to Produce 'Undercovers' -- and May Direct the Pilot Episode

J.J. Abrams may be one of Hollywood's current golden boys, credited with this summer's highly successful reboot of 'Star Trek,' but he'll always have television in his blood. He's an ace TV producer, embracing high concepts and turning them into highly addictive pop culture delights such as 'Alias,' 'Fringe' and, of course, 'Lost.'

While Abrams is preparing the next 'Star Trek' and a fourth installment in the 'Mission: Impossible' franchise, he's also got one eye on the tube. The Hollywood Reporter reports his next TV endeavor will be 'Undercovers,' described as a cross between 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' and 'The Bourne Identity.' Abrams will executive produce the series and is in talks to direct the pilot episode.

Juliet Definitely Dead on 'Lost' (Nooooooo!)

Just as poison shook Shakespeare's Juliet off this mortal coil, so too does a nuclear explosion send Dr. Juliet Burke of 'Lost' into the great blue yonder, confirms Entertainment Weekly (via Vulture blog).

The final episode of season 5 featured Juliet declaring her love for Sawyer and making a bomb go "boom," which had fans wondering if the heroic fertility doctor survived the explosion. But apparently not even the writers of 'Lost,' who are certainly capable of making people come back to life when they feel like it, could shield Juliet from such a big bang. So, don't look for the doc in the sixth (and final) season, because she's definitely gone, baby, gone .. though in the great tradition of 'Lost' beyond-the-grave appearances, she may still pop up in an episode or two.

Sonya Walger Talks 'FlashForward' and 'Lost'

Sonya Walger"I've played quite peripheral people," says Sonya Walger, with characteristic British reserve, about her key roles as Penny on 'Lost,' Michelle Dixon on 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' and Dr. Olivia Benford on ABC's new drama 'FlashForward.' Modesty aside, she's about to take center stage on tonight's 'FlashForward,' in an episode that Walger says sees Olivia's worlds "in collision ... in a big way."

It's clear to viewers, if not to the character, that Olivia stands near the heart of the show's great mystery: why did everyone on earth black out for 137 seconds on October 6, and why, during the blackouts, did they all see what appear to be visions of what they would be doing on April 29, 2010? Her FBI agent husband, Mark (Joseph Fiennes), is investigating the blackouts. Her patient Dylan's father, Lloyd (Jack Davenport), is not only the man she sees herself cheating with six months from now, but he seems to be involved in the conspiracy behind the blackout.

Walger spoke to us from Los Angeles earlier this week, addressing the future of 'FlashForward,' discussing what may be in store for Penny on the forthcoming final season of 'Lost' and marveling that she's become the go-to actress for roles in thought-provoking, epic-scaled sci-fi series.

'Lost' Final Season Schedule: Ruined By the Olympics?

LostJack and Kate may have crashed two planes into the South Pacific already, but there's at least one thing at 'Lost' that is still up in the air: its schedule.

According to Fancast, a mysterious blog article (which has since vanished like the island itself) reported that 'Lost' showrunner Carlton Cuse indicated during a recent visit to Harvard University that the show would be taking a mid-season hiatus to avoid airing head-to-head against the Winter Olympics.
