Michael Trucco's days of galaxy drifting are definitely over. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 'Battlestar Galactica' alum has signed on for USA's 'Facing Kate,' a pilot that follows a lawyer named Kate (Sarah Shahi) who leaves her job for a new career as a mediator.

Trucco will play Kate's ex-husband, who also happens to be a lawyer. The show's premise stems on the death of Kate's dad, another lawyer, which sends her into a need for a new career of sorts.

Chris Elliott Joins 'How I Met Your Mother'

The identity of the titular mother remains a mystery, but 'How I Met Your Mother' fans will get to meet another parent: Lily's previously MIA dad, who'll be played by 'Get a Life' funny guy Chris Elliott.

Elliott joins the gang for the Thanksgiving episode -- set to air on CBS on Nov. 23 -- in which he'll be reunited with his estranged daughter during a holiday dinner at her grandparents' house.

EW.com's Michael Ausiello reports that we'll also see flashbacks to Lily's childhood, which will show some of her dad's shady shenanigans and shed light on why she's not exactly daddy's little girl.

Rachel BilsonCould 'How I Met Your Mother' soon be known as 'How I Met Rachel Bilson'?

EW.com's Michael Ausiello reports that the actress, formerly of 'The O.C.,' will guest star in the show's 100th episode in January.

'HIMYM' executive producer Craig Thomas revealed that the pivotal episode would contain "some serious Mother action." He went on to say, "It'll be the closest Ted's ever come to [discovering who she is]. He's getting a step closer every episode this season, and episode 100 [we] kind of go bananas with it."

We've got the scoop on September's choice TV-to-DVD releases: We'll let you know when you should dole out your hard-earned dollars, and when a simple addition to your Netflix queue will suffice. -- By Janine LoGelfo

'No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency' (The Complete First Season) - HBO's series about a strong Botswana woman based on the popular Alexander McCall books has yet to be renewed for a second season -- while that mystery is being solved, familiarize yourself with this gem of a show. Jill Scott's portrayal of the iconic character Mma Ramostwe is like a breath of fresh air, and the show is surprisingly clean for HBO's sensibilities, featuring no profanity, explicit violence or sex throughout the whole season.

'How I Met Your Mother' Finale: The Goat vs. Ted

What did you think about the fourth season finale of 'How I Met Your Mother'?

What to Watch Monday, March 30

Greek'Greek'
(8PM, ABC Family) 3rd season premiere
School's in session again at Cyprus-Rhodes University, where the Cartwright sibs are planning major moves.

Big sis Casey, fresh off her congressional internship, has secret plans to move out of the ZBZ house. Little bro Rusty, meanwhile, kicks off his sophomore year by moving into the Kappa Tau house, where he'll struggle to keep up with his studies in the midst of the party hearty atmosphere.

Both Cartwrights are also in for some turmoil with their Greek lives: Casey and the ZBZs are rapidly losing pledges to Frannie's new sorority, while Rusty and Calvin duke it out over which fraternity will land freshman football star Andy (Jesse McCartney).

What to Watch Monday, March 9

'Castle'
(10PM, ABC) series premiere
At last ... Nathan Fillion gets a series worthy of his charms with the 'Moonlighting'-meets-'Murder, She Wrote'-ish 'Castle,' playing a wisecracking mystery novelist Richard Castle.

The author finds himself pulled into a police investigation when it appears a serial killer is using Castle's books for inspiration.

But in between managing his more-mature-than-him teen daughter and swinging live-in mom and playing poker with fellow novelists James Patterson and Stephen J. Cannell (who make clever cameos), the divorced Castle may also find new love with prickly detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), a mystery novel fan who's both amused and annoyed by his presence.

What to Watch Monday, Dec. 15

big bang theory'The Big Bang Theory'
(8PM, CBS)
Between 'Chuck,' 'Heroes,' the gang on 'How I Met Your Mother' and, of course, this delightful egghead comedy, Monday night has become the must-see-night for geek TV.

'Big Bang' has only gotten better in its second season, and it's all because of episodes like tonight's gem. It's Christmastime, but there's no jingle in Leonard's bells when he finds out that Penny is dating his hunky co-worker.

And that's not the only steaming cup of holiday stress nipping at the noses of Leonard and his pals. The installment's called 'The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis' and it refers to Sheldon's maddeningly stubborn stance on the etiquette of gift giving.
