Sarah Palin Said No to 'Saturday Night Live' Dirty Joke

Sarah PalinSarah Palin proved a good sport during her Oct. 2008 appearance on 'Saturday Night Live.' But not everything was met with the former Vice Presidential candidate's approval.

In an interview with David Letterman, cast member Seth Meyers confirmed a report in Palin's book, 'Going Rogue,' which claimed that she had line cut from Amy Poehler's rap. The line riffed on her campaign's saying, "drill, baby, drill!"

"That's 100 percent true," Meyers said.

Written by Poehler, the original line said "When we're in Wascilla, it's chill, baby, chilla/In the bedroom with Todd, it's drill, baby, drilla."

Dawyne Johnson: 'The Rock Obama' Will Continue to Smash Up 'SNL'

In an unpredictable world, it may be safe to expect one thing: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be back on 'Saturday Night Live' as his popular character "The Rock Obama."

"Yeah, you bet," Johnson told Inside TV at Saturday's 'Planet 51' premiere in Westwood, Calif. "I love going on that show, and I have a great time."

The Rock Obama, who appeared on Oct. 17's 'SNL' in a sketch about the health care debate in Congress, is the hot-tempered, Incredible Hulk-like alter-ego (played by Johnson) of the mild-mannered Pres. Barack Obama, played by Fred Armisen. When egged on, he morphs into a muscular monster that attacks his opponents, tearing off limbs and throwing them out windows.

Black Eyed Peas Tackle Comedy, Kathie Lee Gifford on 'Saturday Night Live' (VIDEO)

Who knew the 'Black Eyed Peas' had it in them? In this clip from 'Saturday Night Live,' the Peas fly into a rage at Kathie Lee Gifford's poor singing and get some payback for ringing eardrums everywhere.

As part of a sketch parodying the fourth hour of 'Today', Kristen Wiig belted out a song as Gifford and profoundly irritated animals within hearing distance as well as the Peas who were standing nearby. Fergie delivered a vicious left-hook, and Will.i.am brought a diving elbow drop, but it still wasn't enough to silence Gifford.

Watch the video after the jump.

NBC Schedules 'The Sing-Off,' 'SNL' Christmas Special

NBC is getting into the holiday spirit the old fashioned way: with a week of caroling.

Yes, Variety reports that NBC has announced their schedule for December and it includes four days of their new a capella competition 'The Sing-Off'. The show, which borrows liberally from Fox's surprise smash hit 'Glee' by featuring a capella performances of popular pop tunes, will roll out with a series of two-hour specials beginning Mon., Dec. 14 and culminating in a grand finale a week later on Dec. 21.

'SNL' Musical Guests: Best 'Saturday Night Live' Performance Videos

Over the years, many memorable performances have graced the 'SNL' stage. In this list, we select the 7 best. Some were energetic, some were raw and emotive, some were quirky and fun.

But mostly, they were all daring for broadcast television at the time.

Taylor Swift to Host 'Saturday Night Live.' Will Kanye Show Up?

Taylor SwiftLet the Kanye West jokes begin. According to Variety, country singer Taylor Swift has been signed to host the upcoming Nov. 7 episode of 'Saturday Night Live'.

Swift, you may recall, recently received just a bit of media attention thanks her acceptance speech for best female video at the 'MTV Video Music Awards', which was interrupted by West in his misguided attempt to get recognition for an otherwise overlooked artist named Beyonce.
