Kathy Griffin to Host 'Let's Dance': Which Celebs Should ABC Cast?

Kathy GriffinKathy Griffin, fresh from her recent Bravo television special, will host ABC's newest dance show, 'Let's Dance.'

The Wrap reports that the new Fremantle Media production, announced last June, will enlist Griffin's comedic candor in a reality competition show which challenges celebrities to re-enact famous dance routines.

Set to air over five episodes, the 90-minute premiere of 'Let's Dance' will follow the performance finale of 'Dancing with the Stars' on November 23rd at 9:30PM. Griffin will play ringmaster while celebs choose their routines and compete, hoping to return to the grand finale in mid-December.

Confessions of a Cross-Viewer: On Being a Straight Guy Who Loves "Chick" Shows

Project RunwaySo I was talking with some normal acquaintances of mine (by "normal," I just mean people who don't write or edit stories about entertainment for a living), and I started raving about 'Project Runway' -- how the designers manage to create amazing garments in just one or two days and how nice Tim Gunn is and how mean and funny Michael Kors is and how just plain mean Nina Garcia is -- and I started to notice that they were giving each other odd looks.

Then I realized that those looks were saying, "I thought he was straight."

It gets worse when I talk about 'Dancing With the Stars' -- how it's inspiring when a celebrity with a downward-trending career creates a beautiful performance and how Bruno is crazy and how Len is fussy but almost always right and how delicious the show's retro cheesiness is -- and people start giving my wife sympathetic glances.

'Grey's Anatomy,' 'Dancing' & More Stars at GLSEN Red Carpet

Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel HBO, 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Private Practice' creator Shonda Rhimes and philanthropist David Bohnett were honored Oct. 9 night by GLSEN at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The organization (which is pronounced "glisten") stands for Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network and seeks to create safe school environments for all students by making them aware of how harmful comments like "that's so gay" are.

Television's primary goal is to entertain, but it can also educate, according to Michael Lombardo, president of HBO programming. "We've certainly seen TV shows that have gay characters, but they're usually playing comedic foils or certainly asexual," Lombardo said.

5 Questions With: Helio Castroneves

It's been a rough year for Indy 500 racing champ and season 5 'Dancing With the Stars' winner Helio Castroneves. An ongoing tax evasion battle with the IRS could've sent the Brazilian race car driver to jail -- and ended his driving career.

But just weeks before the May 24 Indy 500 race in which he nabbed his third victory, a jury acquitted Castroneves of most of the charges (the final charge was dismissed just two days before the race), clearing the way for him to enjoy his third win (making him the first foreign-born three-time Indy 500 champ) and his multimillion dollar paycheck.

Castroneves took a break from his Indy celebrations to talk to AOL TV about his big wins (on the race track and the 'DWtS' stage), shakin' his groove thang on ABC again, his plans for that Indy 500 check -- no worries, IRS.
