Julianne Moore Spotted on '30 Rock' Set: Can She Pull Off Comedy?

Julianne Moore 30 RockYesterday, Julianne Moore was reportedly seen in New York's Rockefeller Center, aka the filming location for NBC's Emmy-winning comedy '30 Rock.' Sources at E! are now predicting that Moore will be Jack Donaghy's (Alec Baldwin) new love interest this season.

Reps for NBC and Moore have yet to release an official statement. But in a recent interview, Baldwin himself said "I won't say who it is, but someone very near to us may be coming on to play my girlfriend for four episodes."

Onlookers at yesterday's filming didn't find any evidence to either confirm or deny the rumor, only catching things in between takes. But one snoop said that the two looked "very chummy," and seemed to be the only ones on location.

James Franco to Guest on '30 Rock': Which Show Should He Book Next?

James Franco is quickly taking over the small screen.

We've already seen him this season as a surprise guest on 'Saturday Night Live.' He also has an upcoming arc on 'General Hospital,' which we're, um, still trying to wrap our heads around.

Now, he's set to follow that with a guest appearance on '30 Rock.' According to the Ausiello Files, Franco will play a version of himself who winds up in a fake relationship with Jenna (Jane Krakowski), all orchestrated by their agents.

With so many different TV roles in the works, we're beginning to wonder if there's anything James Franco can't do. At a turn, he can go from dramatic ('Milk'; TV's 'James Dean'), to hilarious ('Pineapple Express') to ... soap operas (yep, still confused). Clearly, there are no limits to his talents -- which is why we're itching to see more of him on TV. So to help, we came up with a list of shows that James Franco should appear on next.

Blurg! '30 Rock' Scores Zero Rating in German Debut

The German word is null. That's right, meine kinder, '30 Rock' -- a critically acclaimed series here in the U.S., what with 38 Emmy nominations and three wins for Outstanding Comedy Series -- earned a big fat zero in the ratings last weekend when the show made its debut on German TV.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the astonishingly low 0.0 rating translates into fewer than 5,000 viewers. It suggests that while Tina Fey's quick-witted humor is a notch above the American average, '30 Rock' may be far too much of a typically American comedy-satire to win over the notoriously hardline German funny bone.

Jeff Dunham and Puppet Face Off with Jack on '30 Rock' (VIDEO)

Kudos to '30 Rock's' Jack Donaghy for accomplishing what most of us have only dreamed of -- throttling one of comedian Jeff Dunham's puppets.

In this clip, Jack comes to Liz's aid at a comedy club after a ventriloquist dummy lays into her with insults. See if you can spot Dunham's lips moving during the attack.

Watch the video after the jump.

Our Favorite TV Bosses

Michael Scott The OfficeDon't you wish your boss were more like the bosses on TV? You know, wise, kind, smart, respectful ... oh, actually, never mind. TV bosses may not always be the best managers around, but at least they're entertaining. In honor of Boss' Day, here are 13 bosses who liven up the TV workplace, for better or (very often) for worse.

'30 Rock' Premiere Preview: Season 4 Spoilers

30 Rock "We'll trick those race-car loving wide-loads into watching your lefty homoerotic propaganda hour yet!" That's Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin), telling Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) that NBC seems to have lost touch with "real America," and that she has to get heartland viewers to watch her comedy series, "TGS with Tracy Jordan."

That line is from tonight's season 4 premiere of '30 Rock' and its meta-punchline neatly encapsulates the show's dilemma: how to attract viewers to a show that most aren't watching, despite the outpouring of love from big-city TV critics and Emmy voters.

What to Watch: October 12-18

This week on TV: DJ AM's coda on MTV, 'Simpsons' Halloween episode, and welcome back, '30 Rock'!

MONDAY, OCT. 12
DJ AM'Gone Too Far' (10PM, MTV) series premiere
A little strange, and a lot sad, given the August death of Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein, this reality series stars the late Goldstein, himself a recovering drug addict, as he traveled around the country sharing his experiences with drugs and trying to help those crippled with their own addictions. In the premiere, Goldberg heads back to his hometown, Philadelphia, to assist with an intervention for a young heroin addict who refuses to go to rehab.

Nate Corddry Joins '30 Rock'

Nate CorddryOver the past few years, no show on television has managed to pack in as many guest stars and buzzworthy cameos as NBC's award winning sitcom '30 Rock.' Well, this season looks to be no different: Word has leaked out that Tina Fey's latest adversary will be none other than Nate Corddry, former 'Daily Show' correspondent and star of 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.'

'30 Rock' Halloween Costumes

30 RockThe Costumes: The Generalissimo, Kenneth the Page and Jenna as Jackie Jormp-Jomp from '30 Rock.'

What You'll Need:
A costume of Generalissimo costume -- the evil Telemundo soap opera character who stood between Jack Donaghy and his love, Elisa -- will require a trip to a craft store, where you'll purchase gold braid trim, ribbons and general medallions to gussy up a plain navy blue collarless jacket (found at a costume shop or as a less fancy generic costume online). Also key to the Generalissimo vibe: slicked down hair, sideburns, a pencil-thin moustache and the ability to say everything with an exaggerated Spanish accent.
