Look-A-Like for Halloween

Who better to dress up as for Halloween than your favourite celebrity? We spoke to Paul Venoit, make-up artist on Canadian series 'Look-A-Like', for tips and tricks to make your costume the talk of the town. The TV series takes ordinary, everyday people and transforms them into whatever celebrity the person claims to look like.

5 Questions With: Mark-Paul Gosselaar

"I can watch ['Saved By the Bell'] as an admirer and now I don't have to critique myself."

You probably know him best as Zack Morris on 'Saved by the Bell' or Det. John Clark on 'NYPD Blue,' but now Mark-Paul Gosselaar has grown out his brown (!) hair and become a lawyer. On TV, of course.

TNT's new series 'Raising the Bar' (premiering Monday, Sept. 1 at 10 PM ET) delves into the lives of a group of prosecutors and public defenders (Gosselaar's Jerry Kellerman being the latter), who are also friends, and throws out all of the TV rules of the courtroom.

Gosselaar talked to AOL TV about his new show, how 'Saved by the Bell' showcases good acting ... and why he wants to be dropped into the middle of nowhere.

VIDEO The Show Girl: Mark-Paul Gosselaar, 'Hawthorne,' 'Pushing Daisies' & More!

Mark-Paul GosselaarGot a burning TV question? Ask The Show Girl! This week I share the 'What Not to Wear' hosts' critiques of Kate Gosselin's 'do and chat with 'Raising the Bar' star Mark-Paul Gosselaar and his new hairstyle. (And no, the irony that I was having a bad hair day here is not lost on me.)

But there's plenty more that has nothing to do with hair at all -- I get to the bottom of the will-he-or-won't-he debate about MPG doing a 'Saved By the Bell' reunion and dish about the possible resurrection of fan-favorite 'Pushing Daisies.' Plus, don't miss an adorable 'Office' shot-out from a very familiar face.

To get your questions answered on The Show Girl, just email me at TheTVShowGirl@aol.com. Now watch, enjoy and come back next week for more. Until then, happy TV watching! -- By Maggie Furlong

Justin Theroux Lands Major Recurring Role on 'Parks and Recreation'

Multihyphenate actor-writer-director Justin Theroux is all set to park himself on TV next year -- and TV, if Theroux's track record is any indication, will be so much the better for it. Writer Michael Ausiello reports on his Entertainment Weekly blog that the 38-year-old big-and-small screen star is joining the cast of NBC's 'Parks and Recreation.'

While he'll be playing things all platonic opposite Rashida Jones' Ann (who is playing things all more-than-platonic with Paul Schneider's Mark), Theroux is a very possible love interest for Amy Poehler's Leslie.

62nd Primetime Emmys to Air on Aug. 29

Emmy AwardsThe Emmy Awards will air a bit earlier next year.

According to Variety, the Emmys telecast date has been moved from mid-September to Sun., Aug. 29.

Paul Telegdy, executive vice president of alternative programming for NBC and Universal Media Studios, said that the early announcement will allow the network and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to get a "head start on creative discussions."

The move to August, which will ensure that NBC avoids any scheduling conflicts with its 'Sunday Night Football' franchise, is not without precedent. In 2006, NBC presented the Emmys in late-August, because of similar football concerns. According to NBC, it was the highest-rated Emmy telecast in the last four years.

C4 to show The Execution of Gary Glitter

Convicted sex offender and 1970's glam rock star Gary Glitter is facing execution and the event will be broadcast on Channel 4 Monday night. Depending on your school of thought this will either anger or please you, but what's pretty certain is it will shock you.

This shock factor is something Channel 4 should be proud of as they push the boundaries in programming and take a risk on a very controversial topic.

Now lets set this straight; Gary Glitter will not actually be killed. In fact he won't even be acting in the feature-length drama. Instead Hilton McRae gives a superb portrayal of Gary Glitter, who is referred to by his real name Paul Gadd.

Rashida Jones on 'Parks and Recreation' and Returning to 'The Office'

Rashida Jones Parks and RecreationAfter getting caught in between Jim and Pam on 'The Office,' actress Rashida Jones has moved on to another Thursday night NBC comedy: 'Parks and Recreation,' co-starring Amy Poehler.

Rashida plays Ann Perkins, a nurse who is now dating Leslie's (Poehler) co-worker, Mark (Paul Schneider) -- a big improvement, considering that her last relationship quite literally ended in the pits.

'Parks' -- which was just renewed for a full second season -- has seen a big improvement from season 1, says many critics and fans. But according to Jones, that's not entirely the case.

AOL TV recently chatted with the star about the quality of season 2, the pickup news and whether Karen will ever return to 'The Office.'

Wal-Mart Comedy in Development for NBC

Paul RustVariety reports that NBC is teaming up with actor/comedian Paul Rust for an untitled comedy set in a Wal-Mart-type retailer. The project stems from Rust's own experience working as an employee at a Wal-Mart in LeMars, Iowa, after college. Rust will develop the show with Conan O'Brien's production company, Conaco, and will write and star in the program.
