Phil Harris'Deadliest Catch' captain Phil Harris died Tuesday about a week after suffering a stroke on Alaska's St. Paul Island.

"It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dad - Captain Phil Harris," it said. "Dad has always been a fighter and continued to be until the end. For us and the crew, he was someone who never backed down. We will remember and celebrate that strength. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers."

'Heroes' Season Finale Gets Low Ratings -- But Show Still Might Return (Why?!)

Last night's season finale of 'Heroes' brought a number of storylines to startling conclusions, but don't worry, we won't be spoiling anything here. Because, like the rest of America, we were busy watching something else.

Yes, the ratings are in and they are, in a word, dismal: according to Zap2It.com, the climax of season 4 played to a nearly empty house, pulling in just 4.4 million viewers. Those numbers are a far cry from the 16.93 million viewers the series once commanded (for the season 2 premiere) and pale in comparison to the numbers of their direct competition, the CBS comedies 'Two and a Half Men' and 'The Big Bang Theory,' which brought in more than quadruple the viewers with 17.55 million and 16.2 million respectively.

'Daria' Is Finally Coming to DVD, Hurray!

With her patented cynical one-liners and black, round-shaped glasses, Daria Morgendorffer of MTV's cult animated show 'Daria' was the prototypical, overly smart teenage outsider.

On air for a total of five seasons from 1997-2001, 'Daria,' a program that lifted the veil of high school phoniness, provided a niche for all the sarcasm-spewing teens out there.

So we're quite delighted with the news that our favorite irony-loving teenager will soon be coming to DVD

ABC Greenlights Second Season of 'Dating in the Dark'

ABC apparently likes what it sees in the dark room.

According to the Live Feed, the net has re-upped 'Dating in the Dark' for a second season. The show -- which premiered to a healthy 6.3 million viewers last summer -- aired after the adventures of Jillian Harris on 'The Bachelorette' on Mondays.

'Dating in the Dark' has one of the most convoluted reality show premises around (well, until 'Conveyor Belt of Love' came around, anyway): Six singles move into a house and are only able to interact with the opposite sex either in the dark room, where they cannot see each other, or via e-mail. The sequences in the dark room are filmed with infra-red cameras; afterward, the couples' appearances are revealed to each other -- for better or worse.

CW News: 'High Society,' 'Fly Girls' Land Premiere Dates; Talley Joins 'Top Model'

The CW has finally announced premiere dates for two of its highly anticipated reality series.

Also at CW, renowned fashionista Andre Leon Talley has been tapped to join the judges panel on season 14 of 'America's Next Top Model.'

According to the Hollywood Reporter, 'High Society' will get its high-profile debut Wed., Mar. 10 at 9:30PM, following the 90-minute premiere of 'Top Model.' Then on Wed., Mar. 24, the show will move to its regular timeslot, at 9PM, to make room for the take off of 'Fly Girls.'

Jeff Probst to Play, Wit, Last for Two More Seasons of 'Survivor'

Put down the picket signs and call off those hunger strikes, because our long national nightmare is finally over: Jeff Probst will be returning to 'Survivor.'

The long awaited news comes from Probst himself, who announced via his twitter feed that he has inked a deal with CBS to return as host of the popular reality series for two more seasons.

"Survivor fans: I'm jazzed and wanted to share with you guys first," Probst tweeted, no doubt from a secret jungle hideaway. "I'll be back snuffing torches for two more seasons (21&22) of Survivor."

Billy Ray to Pen '24' Movie

24 movieAt long last, Twentieth Century Fox is moving forward with plans to bring '24' to the big screen.

The studio has hired Billy Ray ('Shattered Glass'; 'State of Play') to write the project, based on a storyline that he reportedly pitched himself.

But don't get too excited: The film version may be contingent on a number of key factors, including whether or not '24' returns for a ninth season on Fox.

Minka Kelly Finds 'True Love'

It's almost Valentine's Day, and for CBS, that means that love is in the air. And not just any kind of love, mind you, but the best kind of all: 'True Love.'

Yes, according to the Hollywood Reporter, work continues apace on the pilot for CBS's new sitcom 'True Love.' The latest victim to fall under Cupid's spell? 'Friday Night Lights' actress Minka Kelly.

Kelly, of course, was one of the breakout stars of 'Friday Night Lights,' but thanks to the nature of that show, her character had to be written out due to the pesky reality of high school graduation. Since then, Kelly has also appeared in the CW pilot 'Body Politic,' which the network surprisingly decided to pass on despite strong buzz in the media.
