Look-A-Like for Halloween

Who better to dress up as for Halloween than your favourite celebrity? We spoke to Paul Venoit, make-up artist on Canadian series 'Look-A-Like', for tips and tricks to make your costume the talk of the town. The TV series takes ordinary, everyday people and transforms them into whatever celebrity the person claims to look like.

Check out this gallery of last season's 'Look-A-Like' participants.

'The Hills' Halloween Costume: Spencer Pratt

Spencer Pratt, The HillsThe Costume: Spencer Pratt from 'The Hills'

What You'll Need: A scraggly beard (often referred to as a "creepy, flesh-colored beard"), plenty of hair gel and a slew of nonsensical sayings to utter incessantly while you speak about yourself in the third person.

'Gossip Girl' Halloween Costume: Serena and Blair

Gossip GirlThe Costume: 'Gossip Girl' kids

What You'll Need: For Serena, you need lots of chunky rings and long necklaces, some bohemian-inspired clothes with a touch of sparkle, layered and mismatched just so, tall boots and long wavy blonde locks.

For Blair, put on something printed and prissy, with tights, sparkly flats and long brown hair. You can make the look more "high school Blair" simply by adding a headband. Target has Anna Sui's 'GG'-inspired line in stores now. Also, if friends have already claimed these costumes, say you're going as the kids from 'NYC Prep.' Same thing.

Halloween TV: 'Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin
All Hallow's Eve has captured America's fancy as a holiday phenomenon second only to Christmas -- well, when it comes to TV specials, anyway. Looking for your favorite Halloween shows and specials, plus some new ones, too? Whether you're in the mood for a good old-fashioned horror movie frightfest, a seasonal TV classic, or a candy lover's cooking showcase, check out the upcoming daily ghoulish goodness from now until Halloween. It's our treat.

'Eastbound and Down' Halloween Costume: Kenny Powers

The Costume: 'Eastbound and Down' former Major League Baseball pitching sensation Kenny Powers (played by the hilarious Danny McBride), who's still a legend in his own mind.

What You'll Need: Jeans, a T-shirt with the sleeves cut off, a beer can in one hand, a baseball glove on the other and facial hair manscaped into a circle beard. Essential to pulling off the Kenny Powers look: the perm/mullet wig, because Kenny is all about business up front and some serious, get-down-with-your-bad-self partying in the back. And by the way, we do mean wig, because we hope you're not trying to rock that look with your own hair.

'Glee' Halloween Costumes: Sue Sylvester

Sue Sylvester, 'Glee'The Costume: 'Glee''s overzealous and often inappropriate McKinley High Cheerios head coach, Sue Sylvester, expertly played by Jane Lynch

What You'll Need: A track suit -- preferably red Adidas -- a bullhorn, a stopwatch, a short blonde layered wig and a load of salty one-liners directed toward children, nerds, puppies and, yes, the Glee Club. If you need more inspiration on the attitude, you can see my attempt here.
