James Franco Debuts On 'General Hospital': What Went Down (LIVE BLOG)

James FrancoAs we previously reported, James Franco made his big debut on 'General Hospital' this afternoon -- and we have the full scoop on what went down.

We already know that the movie star's run on the ABC soap opera is going to be loaded with surprises. For starters, although his debut was supposed to be today, regular 'GH' viewers noticed that the Golden Globe winner actually popped up on yesterday's episode (what would a soap be without twists?)

'GH' has done a great job of setting up Franco's introduction. From today's episode, we've gathered that his character, Franco, has photos of Claudia's dead body. Since A.J.'s Sonny's son Michael killed Claudia, the mobster is very interested in silencing the shutterbug/artist.

Read on for an analysis of Franco's official daytime debut.

Kevin McKidd On His 'Grey's Anatomy's' Love Triangle and 'Percy Jackson'

Kevin McKidd'Grey's Anatomy' has served up some great love triangles over the years (Meredith/Derek/Addison; Callie/George/Izzie), and it appears to have a winner in its latest romantic trio with doctors Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd), Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) and newcomer Teddy Altman -- Owen's fellow Iraqi medic -- played by Kim Raver.

McKidd gave us a preview of tonight's 'Grey's' episode (which covers Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's) and also talks about a variety of projects that have taken him outside of Seattle Grace -- but not necessarily away from hospitals.

Rachael Ray to Host 'All My Children' Yard Sale

'All My Children' is moving its production from New York to Los Angeles in January -- but not everything is coming with it.

In what may be every soap-lover's fantasy, the show has decided to host a yard sale to clear out some old inventory. The sale will be held this Monday, Nov. 23 from 11AM to 3PM at the Rachael Ray Studio.

Attendees take note: Ray's talk show will be taping the garage sale for a segment that will air on a future episode -- so, in other words, if you're there to buy one of Billy Clyde Tuggle's pimp hats, be prepared to have your friends and family find out about it.

Proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. To obtain a ticket, contact Karina at 917-332-3188. Cash and credit will be accepted.

Jonathan Jackson and Anthony Geary on Lucky's Return and a Potential Spencer Family Reunion

Jonathan Jackson and Anthony GearyAfter a 10-year absence, Jonathan Jackson has reclaimed the role of Lucky Spencer, son of legendary 'General Hospital' duo Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis).

Jackson -- who won three Daytime Emmys for his performance -- originated the role in 1993, and remained on the show for nearly six years before leaving to pursue other interests (among them roles in 'Tuck Everlasting,' 'Insomnia' and TV's 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles').

AOL TV recently spoke with Jackson and Geary about Lucky's return, the chances of a Lucky-Liz reunion and whether Laura will return to Port Charles as well.

'Days of Our Lives' Star Bryan Dattilo Matches Wits On '5th Grader'

Bryan DatilloBryan Dattilo's had to out-think crafty Sami Brady on 'Days of our Lives' for years; now he's trying to outsmart a bunch of 11-year-olds on 'Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader,' the syndicated game show hosted by Jeff Foxworthy.

"I had never seen the show before but my brother is a big fan of Jeff and his 'jerky' jokes," said Dattilo, who has played Lucas Roberts on 'Days' since 1993. The actor didn't have to go through the rigorous pre-test that regular potential contestants do (believe us, it's not easy), but he caught a few episodes in the green room prior to taping. He talked to AOL about the '5th Grader' experience, plus what's next for Lucas on 'DOOL.'

New 'Bachelor' Jake Pavelka Promises "Unconditional Honesty"

The Bachelor Jake PavelkaIt turns out that honesty is the best policy.

After producers witnessed last season's contender, Jake Pavelka, do the right thing and warn 'Bachelorette' Jillian Harris that a guy she had her sights on, aspiring country singer Wes Hayden, was otherwise committed, they knew they had their next star. Pavelka, a pilot, is currently taping 'The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love,' which is set to air in January 2010 on ABC -- and will hopefully land him the love of his life.

AOL chatted with Pavelka to see if he can stay honest and what he hopes to accomplish by taking a walk in Jillian's shoes.

'Grey's Anatomy,' 'Dancing' & More Stars at GLSEN Red Carpet

Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel HBO, 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Private Practice' creator Shonda Rhimes and philanthropist David Bohnett were honored Oct. 9 night by GLSEN at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The organization (which is pronounced "glisten") stands for Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network and seeks to create safe school environments for all students by making them aware of how harmful comments like "that's so gay" are.

Television's primary goal is to entertain, but it can also educate, according to Michael Lombardo, president of HBO programming. "We've certainly seen TV shows that have gay characters, but they're usually playing comedic foils or certainly asexual," Lombardo said.
