The Buzz: Created by Steven Spielberg and 'Juno' scribe/overnight Oscar winner Diablo Cody, 'The United States of Tara' has been Showtime's stud, averaging 2.1 million viewers and outperforming other network hits like 'Weeds,' 'Dexter' and 'Californication' in its premiere week. It was renewed for a 12-episode second season just four weeks into the first.

What It's About: Kenny Powers (Danny McBride) is an ex-professional MLB closer who's gone from flame-throwing world series MVP to overweight, noodle-armed phys ed teacher. He's moved back to his hometown, where he's a big, inappropriate, vulgar fish in a small, moral North Carolina pond. Kenny battles with drug abuse, steroids -- and his own stupidity

The Buzz: Will Ferrell brings his raunch, over-the-top humor -- and love of sports comedies -- to the small screen. He teams with co- 'Anchorman' scribe Adam McKay, while McBride, who co-stars in Ferrell's upcoming 'Land of the Lost,' is one of the show's lead writers. Since it's on HBO, expect no-holds-barred crude comedy.
