Be on the lookout for a number of famous guest stars to appear on your favorite shows this season. Check out a round-up of some recently-announced apppearances:• Actor/producer Jerry O'Connell is set to star opposite his real-life wife Rebecca Romijn on the season's final two episodes of Romijn's ABC hit 'Eastwick.' O'Connell will play Kat's (Jaime Ray Newman) new neighbor, Colin, who isn't what he appears to be. Husband and wife have worked together twice before, with O'Connell making a brief appearance on 'Ugly Betty' and Romijn guest-starring on O'Connell's short-lived comedy 'Carpoolers'. • Elisabeth Moss, best known as Peggy Olsen on AMC's 'Mad Men', will guest star on NBC's medical drama 'Mercy' as cancer patient Lucy Morton. The episode is slated to air November 4. [TVGuide.com]
• Geeks unite: CBS sitcom 'The Big Bang Theory' will feature an appearance by former 'Battlestar Galactica' star Katee Sackhoff. The actress, now a regular on '24', will play herself in a cameo on the Nov. 23 episode. Despite the show airing on CBS, a source recently told the Chicago Tribune that "there may be nudity." • Former 'NCIS' star Sasha Alexander is set to appear on 'House' as the doctor and Wilson's next-door neighbor, sparking a potential love triangle. The actress is currently signed on for one episode scheduled to air later this year or early next year. [EW]
• In other 'NCIS' news, Pauley Perrette's Abby Sciuto hops coasts from 'NCIS' to 'NCIS: Los Angeles' on an episode set to air November 24. While the goth-loving forensic specialist has talked to the West Coast crew by phone, this will be her first appearance on the show. [EW]

What is NBC thinking? First, they refuse to revamp/cancel Jay Leno who is tanking, yet they cancel Southland, an outstanding program. Now, they have ordered more weeks of Mercy. I have deliberately watched all 3 of the new medical programs this season. Of the 3 of them, Mercy is without question the worst. Trauma is not too bad, but Three Rivers shows the most potential (imho). How sad to see NBC sink from the top to the bottom in network rankings. Hopefully someone there will wake up before they go under completely.
