Jessica Capshaw caused quite a stir when she began her guest spot on 'Grey's Anatomy' last season -- and with a TV name like Arizona Robbins, how could she not?Not only was Capshaw's character a "replacement lesbian" for Brooke Smith's Dr. Hahn (who'd been let go earlier that year) -- romancing Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) and heating up the on-call rooms at Seattle Grace even more -- but she was also vying to get Dr. Bailey to switch from surgery to pediatrics.
AOL TV sat down with Capshaw, now a series regular, to find out what it's like to be upgraded from guest star, which guy makes her laugh on set and working at a place where it's all about saving lives ... and having sex. Watch the video below for the full scoop:

Wow, I'd like to see more scenes with the two gay women. Our society is so behind with Lesbian love lives. And it was very unrealistic when Dr. Torres asked McSteamy about sex when making love between two women. Men have no clue, how to make love like a woman.
The first show was 'just okay', I miss the quirky humor, however.
But, I'm a loyalist to the show, so hoping it gets better as it goes.

And responding to you Sammi, I am SICK to death of having gay relationships shoved down my throat in primetime TV these days. The premise for this I suppose is so we will become so used to watching gay couples that main-stream America won't care anymore. I enjoy the characters, but not enough to watch them go at it.

I agree, Thisisnuts. It seems the writers are determined to make sex between women an "option" for all of us by using attractive seemingly straight women in these shows. Where are the typical lesbians - you know the one's with men's hair styles, no makeup, flannel shirts, etc. That's the only kind of lesbians I've known in my lifetime - and yes, I've encountered several lesbian couples through work, apartment complex, etc. Lesbians look like Chaz - not Jessica Capshaw. It's just a way to gratify male fantasies - sick as they might be.

To see somthing like that makes me sick to my stomach!

What makes ME sick to my stomach is seeing these types of knee jerk, superficial, homophobic comments. 1 in 10 people are gay/lesbian, and I believe they have as much right as anyone else to see their lives and concerns represented on TV. I work with adolescents, and know that suicide is still a leading cause of death among gay teens. It can seriously lessen your feeling of being alone in the world to have some models out there of good people - who also happen to be gay - leading healthy and productive lives. The character played by Jessica Capshaw is one such model, and is currently the *only* lesbian series regular on network television. I, for one, thank the actress for the wonderful work she is doing.

Um...are you serious? Are you calling out the actress because she plays a lesbian on tv? It's called separating fact from fiction. Get a grip.

i so love the show but come on and get real. i don't enjoy seeing these kinds of scenes. they are replusive and teach our kids who are old enough to stay up and watch the show that it is ok to be gay and it definitely is not. it is wrong and unnatural. i can't imagine any good actor or actress being so hungry that they would do a script that portrays being gay alright.

How can you explain human emotions and feelings as unnatural?
Trisha at 12:15PM on Sep 29th 2009
Then DON'T watch it!!!! As long as people watch this crap meant to indoctrinate us into their perverted lifestyle, they'll continue to produce it. Vote with your remote controland, in the case of Hollyweird, your entertainment dollars. Bad ratings or a big flop sends a message. There are more of us than there are of them. Unite!

you need to get your head out of your a__ and see the world as it is, like it or not. Just let me ask you, when did you decide to be heterosexual? How was it making that decision? Did you ponder it long? You are a jerk, hope most Americans are not like you. Proud Mother of 2 gay adults, who watched them struggle not to be gay.
