Sissy Spacek Big LoveSissy Spacek has joined the cast of HBO's 'Big Love.' The Oscar winner will play a Washington, D.C., lobbyist for multiple episodes, beginning with No. 3. 'Big Love' season 4 is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2010. [LA Times]

Billy Ray Cyrus Christmas in Canaan'Hannah Montana''s Billy Ray Cyrus is getting into the holiday spirit. Cyrus will star in the new Hallmark Channel movie 'Christmas in Canaan,' about a friendship between two boys -- one white (Zak Ludwig) and one black (Jaison Fisher) -- in 1960s Texas. Cyrus will play Ludwig's father. [Hollywood Reporter]

Penn and TellerFamed magicians Penn and Teller will star in a new comedy pilot for ABC. Written by 'House' scribe Leonard Dick, the duo will play two Las Vegas magicians who also work as reluctant detectives during the daytime. No word yet on whether they'll actually be able to work their magic. [Variety]

Thora Birch Nancy TravisThora Birch ('American Beauty') and Nancy Travis ('The Bill Engvall Show') will star in the new Lifetime original movie 'Pregnancy Pact.' Birch will play Sidney Bloom, a blogger who investigates the rising number of teen pregnancies at her old high school, which may have been caused by a pact among friends. Getting in her way is Travis' Lorraine Dougan, who runs a local conservative-values group. [Hollywood Reporter]

Comedy Central is planning to revive the American Comedy Awards. The updated ACAs will air towards the end of 2010, with simultaneous telecasts planned for Spike TV and TV Land. The American Comedy Awards previously ran from 1985-2001. [Variety
