Scott Rosenbaum, executive producer of NBC's
'Chuck,' has signed a deal with Fox to produce a Western drama with a sci-fi twist -- featuring "a gunslinger caught between worlds," according to Rosenbaum. It's not the first time that Western and sci-fi worlds have collided -- see: 'Firefly' and 'Wild Wild West' -- though Rosenbaum's series promises to be more "epic" in scope. Think ... 'Deadwood' in space?

'Psych' as a CDC researcher who specializes in an Ebola-like disease. 'Psych' is rather fond of the Brat Pack -- Nelson's pal from the '80s, Ally Sheedy, was featured as the Ying Yang Killer in the show's third season finale.

Richard Curtis will be lending his talents to the small screen when he pens an episode of the BBC sci-fi drama
'Doctor Who.' "I am very interested in time travel for some reason or other," he told the Sun newspaper, also confessing that he was working on a low-budget movie about the subject. No word on whether there'll be any romance or comedy involved in either.
