Sherri Shepherd Comedy Lands Premiere Date & More TV News

Sherri ShepherdLifetime's 'Sherri' has found a premiere date. The new comedy series, starring 'The View''s Sherri Shepherd as a divorcee who tries to get back in the dating world, will kick-off on Oct. 5, before moving into its regular 10PM timeslot on Tuesdays. Finally, a chance to laugh with Sherri. [Variety]

Tosh.0Comedy Central has picked up six additional episodes of 'Tosh.0,' bringing its grand total to 16. New episodes of the series, starring comedian Daniel Tosh, will begin airing Oct. 8 at 10PM. [Hollywood Reporter]



Joe MortonActor Joe Morton has landed a recurring role on ABC's 'Brothers & Sisters.' He'll play Justin's (Dave Annable) new anatomy professor, in a role scheduled for 7-10 episodes. 'Brothers & Sisters' premieres Sun., Sept. 27 at 10PM. [Hollywood Reporter]


Lewis Black'The Daily Show''s Lewis Black has booked a guest spot on the Emmy-nominated comedy series 'The Big Bang Theory.' Black will play Professor Crawley, a Caltech entomologist, on the show's second episode, airing Sept. 28 on CBS. [Ausiello Files]


Lady GagaLady Gaga and Jay-Z will perform during Sept. 13's MTV Video Music Awards, joining the previously announced Taylor Swift, Green Day, Pink and Muse. Also taking part in the telecast are Nelly Furtado, Miranda Cosgrove and 'Gossip Girl''s Leighton Meester, who have been added to the list of presenters. Lady Gaga tied Beyonce for the most nominations, with nine each. [MTV]

Ken PavesHairstylist Ken Paves will join Jessica Simpson on her new reality series 'The Price of Beauty.' The series will send the duo around the world to meet and chat with women about the "lengths they go to for beauty." 'The Price of Beauty' will air on VH1, with a premiere date yet to be announced.
