Paula Abdul Eyes 'Ugly Betty' Role & More TV News

Paula Abdul'American Idol' is moving on -- and so is Paula Abdul. Sources say the ex-judge is in talks for a guest appearance on the ABC comedy series 'Ugly Betty.' She'd play a new temp who befriends Amanda (Becki Newton) -- presumably for a better salary. [Ausiello Files]


Scott Foley'Felicity' alum Scott Foley has landed a guest spot on 'Law & Order: SVU,' playing a real estate agent who gets tied up in a murder investigation. Foley is scheduled to appear in 'SVU''s fourth episode, titled 'Hammered.' [Ausiello Files]


Ernie HudsonActor Ernie Hudson ('Oz') is joining the cast of 'Heroes' season 4. He'll play Captain Bullock, a Baltimore detective, in a recurring role, although no word yet on when he'll actually appear. 'Heroes' premieres Mon., Sept. 21 on NBC. [Hollywood Reporter]

Comedy Central Roast of Joan Rivers'The Comedy Central Roast of Joan Rivers' got roasted in Sunday night's ratings battle, taking in a measly 2.8 million viewers total. That's down 32 percent from the March roast of Larry the Cable Guy, which earned 4.1 million viewers. Somebody may want to cry her a Rivers. [Variety]
