Fox says it will not air an upcoming 'Family Guy' episode that deals with abortion, the Live Feed reports.The network announced its decision in a statement released earlier this afternoon, adding that Fox executives "fully support the producers' right to make the episode and distribute it in whatever way they want."
Series creator Seth MacFarlane appeared ready for the decision when he spoke during 'Family Guy''s Comic-Con panel discussion on Saturday. "20th Century Fox, as always, allowed us to produce the episode and then said, 'You know what? We're scared to ******* death of this,'" he said, according to the Live Feed.
MacFarlane later clarified via e-mail, saying, "Clearly my sarcasm doesn't come across in print. I completely support whatever decision Fox makes. We were allowed to take a crack at this controversial story and that's enough for me."
Not much else was revealed about the episode, titled 'Partial Terms of Endearment,' except that it may still be released on DVD.

I do not watch Family Guy period, so I do not really care. Most TV today is really, really bad.

Heh. It really bugs me how stupid people are.
Why's abortion so bad? It's not living! It's the equivilent to having an egg for breakfast, or lambchops.
It's not a baby yet. And what if you can't afford it? I'd rather get rid of a baby before it really 'exists' than have it and torture it by not having enough food and diapers.

Stargirl.................after reading your response for abortion.........it is too bad you don't realize that everytime there is a pregnancy, there is a spirit/soul attached to the upcoming birth..........when it is aborted you are also preventing a spirit from entering into the earth school to learn......Karma is cause and effect......be careful how trivial you consider a future human being....what if you were attempting to return to earth from the other side, and were Stopped!!because your mother aborted you?? If you really think about, it is a baby. When a baby is aborted, it is exactly in the developmental stage where all other babies that do get to be born are supposed to be. Abortion takes away a person's right to pursue happiness. Have you ever been pregnant or seen an ultrasound of a pregnant woman? There is a heartbeat as early as six weeks. Every human being goes through the same developmental process, but abortionists don't want to acknowledge this fact because if they did it would no longer be justified.

I hope that those of you who think along the lines of "if it grows, it is alive, and therefore shouldn't be killed" never eat. Period. Cause guess what, plants grow too, they're alive as well, and yet you eat them. Abortion is a personal conflict in which no one else really has any say. Life begins with sentience.

People, allow me to point out a certain bit of church dogma; a fetus is NOT alive (and therefore has no soul) until it begins producing its own blood, at about 40 days, at which point an abortion is not viable anyway. This decision was made in referance to several passages in both the Old and New Testaments which cleary state that "the blood is the life," meaning that no animal that does not have its own blood is alive. Until the 40th day of developement, when the fetus begins producing its own blood, it is not a seperat entity but a part of the mother, not unlike a hand or an eye. "If thine eye offends thee, pluck it out." You can look it up if you like, but this is not merely my opinion, this is Catholic dogma supported by a pope. So, in a way, the Cathloic Church actually SUPPORTS abortion.
To clarify; no blood=no life. No life=no soul, and no murder. Fetuses do not produce blood until the 40th day of development, meaning they are not alive, meaning abortion is not murder. After all, how can you kill something that wasnt alive? Think about that.
Besides, this article wasnt about abortion, it was about an episode of Family Guy. I say air it. This kind of blatant censership denies the guaranteed right of free speech. If you dont like the message the episode carries, dont watch it. Dont just watch the episode then go cry about it, just dont watch the episode. Mr. MacFarlane has the right to put whatever he wants in his work, and everyone else has the right to watch it or not watch it. This is not a communist or socialist society, people can choose what to watch and what not too. Just make the choice NOT to watch it, use some common sense, and excersise the rights promised to you in the Bill of Rights; Freedom of Speech, of Assembly, of Religion, of the Press, the Right to Bear Arms and the Right to Petition.

Ya phil u got it all wrong. If u understand what "if your eye offends you, pluck it out" you would see that when it was written that they meant by that that if your eye keeps causing you to sin, then get rid of it. Not by your idea of offends but by the reasoning of keep yourself from sin. And when u say that the blood is the life, it is a meaning of us needing blood. Without blood we all would die. If a fetus is supposedly not living until it produces blood, then how does it grow to be blood producing while it is dead, in your terms. The time when a body gets a soul is when the body starts growing. If a baby is growing but not producing its own blood how is it not living, it has a support system helping it to grow, sorta like life support. So should we kill old people who cant make thier own blood and are on life support because of it. If you think about it you can see that scripture mistaken could lead you to a wrong conclusion when warped by you or whoever read it.
