Comic-Con has come and gone, leaving fans with plenty of casting news, hints and spoilers to get them ready for the upcoming TV season.

'Lost' will return to its roots for season 6
Executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof said 'Lost' will borrow a few techniques from season 1, including the return of an "intense" and "surprising" atmosphere -- not to mention a few familiar faces. [Hollywood Reporter]

On Saturday, 'Vampire Diaries' co-star Ian Somerhalder confirmed Boone will be making an appearance on 'Lost' next season. Also coming back from the presumed dead: Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Faraday (Jeremy Davies). [EW.com]



'FlashForward' is definitely not the new 'Lost'
Fans already hyping 'FlashForward,' ABC's new series about a global blackout that causes people to see into the future, as the new 'Lost' may want to reconsider. "Nothing is ever going to be the new 'Lost,'"said executive producer David S. Goyer. "'Lost' is this genre-breaking show that was its own thing, unique and daring and challenging. I thought, if they're courageous enough to put that on the air, they'll be courageous enough to put ('FlashForward') on the air." [LA Times]

Except ... that it will co-star Dominic Monaghan
ABC confirmed 'Lost' alum Monaghan will join 'FlashForward' after all, although details on his character remain to be seen. Now if only we could glimpse into the future. [Hollywood Reporter]

'Heroes' is making time travel plans again
Star Masi Oka (Hiro) says his character will be doing a lot more time traveling this season. The reason: He wants to make up for past mistakes. Like season 3? [E!]

No alien invasion planned for 'Fringe'
Show producers said 'Fringe' will never feature aliens on the show. But one thing the show will have: more Leonard Nimoy, who will reportedly begin filming scenes next week. [IF Magazine]


'Chuck' is kung fu fighting ... for now
Zachary Levi revealed there is a shelf life to Chuck's new kung fu powers, and claimed that a glitch will eventually cause them to stop working. [Live Feed] The complete second season of 'Chuck' will be available on DVD on December 15th.

'Big Bang' is in for a big change
"Things will change," said executive producer Chuck Lorre, referring the show's upcoming third season. Lorre also took time to thank the fans, saying they've always been part of the writers room conversation.
