Next week, Tori Spelling will guest-host the fourth hour of 'Today' with Kathie Lee Gifford. Spelling has been booked July 20-22 while regular co-host Hoda Kotb has the week off. Someone who may not be tuning in: Candi Spelling. [EW.com]

Though still popular with younger audiences, the 'Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien' continues to take a tumble in the ratings. Last week, the show drew in a record-low audience with 2.8 million viewers, finishing third to the 'Late Show With David Letterman' and 'Nightline.' Perhaps it's time for Conan to throw out a few Palin jokes. [NY Times]

The season 2 premiere of 'Leverage,' starring Oscar winner Timothy Hutton, netted 3.9 million viewers, down 22 percent from last season. On the bright side: the new Dylan McDermott vehicle 'Dark Blue' held 91 percent of 'Leverage''s lead-in audience to finish with a respectable 3.5 million. [Live Feed]ALSO IN TV NEWS ...

i am so mad they are taking some of the best shows off the air. why take the unit, without a trace and monk off the air. what is wrong with the idiots that make these decisions. do we need yet another reality show. i am so sick of them. i want the shows that i mentioned to stay on the air and for the morans that make the choice to think of the people who are watching..that also goes for the guilding light. taking that off after many many years. what fools..

I never liked Conan O'Brien, I have nothing against him, but I knew when he took over the Tonight Show, It was the wrong decision for the network to have him host.

I agree, Kathy. They are taking the best shows off for pure garbage that is on for one season and then is canceled due to lack of audience. Most of the TV I view now are reruns of canceled or old shows. I loved "Without a Trace", "Monk", and "The Unit". I can't believe these shows will no longer air. I also enjoyed "Shark"; where is it now? It just ended its season never to be heard from again. :-(

Conan should be given more time to find out what the audience wants. He might want to change his writers as they are the main part of the show.
I think he's very cute and I'm not a young person.

I think that Conan should be give more time so that he can find out what the audience wants as well as what feels comfortable for him.
I also think he should change his writers. Oviously they are not doing too well. Writers are the most important part of his show.
I really like to look at him and I'm an older viewer.

I started watching Conan while he was still in New York, when I heard he would be replacing Jay Leno. I got used to him, it does take a little time. I'm out of his demographics too. He is funny sometimes, but he is no Jay Leno that's for sure. I don't like Letterman any more so I've started watching Jimmy Kimmel, he's pretty funny too. I just need some humor after all the deprssing news coming out of Washington. We are in the Mountain Time Zone so we get the Tonight Show an hour earlier than other zones. I'm kind of an Isomniac so I watch more late TV than the average person would.

TORI SPELLING? On The Today Show? Shes definitely not The Today Show material. She'd be ok on some fashion show, or some gossip show, but The Today Show has intelligent, funny, knowledgeable hosts. If Tori is any of the above she has been hiding it all these years. Why don't they just get Lindsay Lohan as her co-host!
