'Modern Family'
Premise: This clever comedy focuses on three modern, but very different, families -- parents of three, struggling to keep their kids from growing up too fast; a mismatched newlywed couple, both on their second marriages; and a gay couple who has just adopted a baby girl from Vietnam.
Cast: Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Ed O'Neill, Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson
What Works: There are certainly enough scenarios between the three households to fill seasons upon seasons, but for starters, we're really loving Bowen as the neurotic taskmaster and Burrell as her oblivious husband. Shooting your kid with his plastic gun as punishment for him shooting his sister? Brilliant.
What Doesn't: The relationship between Vergara, as the fish-out-of-water hottie from Colombia, married to older man O'Neill definitely has some room for growth -- but hey, they are the newlyweds of the bunch.

A ten out of ten for excitement IMO is a very big call. Having said that though the preview above looks fantastic. I am looking forward to getting to see a full episode and I have no doubt it will be great, its just a big call to give it a 10 straight out of the gate.

Watched the pilot episode on ABC.com and wow it sucks! Not funny at all...sorry Scrubs is 1,000,000,000 X better!!
