'Accidentally On Purpose'
Premise: Elfman is Billie, a single woman who gets pregnant (accidentally, as the title would indicate) after a one-night stand with a much younger boy toy, Zack (Foster). Instead of forging ahead solo, Billie asks Zack to move in with her, under the guise of staying friends, and he brings his bachelor lifestyle with him.
Cast: Jenna Elfman, Jon Foster, Ashley Jensen, Grant Show
What Works: The premise has potential; 'Ugly Betty' alum Jensen (who plays Billie's hard-partying BFF Olivia) finally gets a role that lets her show off her comedy chops, and Elfman is as bubbly and effervescent as her 'Dharma' days. However ...
What Doesn't: ... it's almost as if they're trying to make Elfman as bubbly and effervescent as her 'Dharma' days. She's grown up -- and we like it! Leave it at that please, CBS.
