Athough her romantic relationships with Lee Majors and Ryan O'Neal became tabloid fodder, Fawcett also gained respect for her work: She earned Emmy nominations for her roles in 'The Burning Bed' and 'Small Sacrifices' and was a Golden Globes darling, scoring nods for 'Charlie's Angels,' 'The Burning Bed,' 'Extremities,' 'Nazi Hunter: The Beate Klarsfeld Story,' 'Poor Little Rich Girl: The Barbara Hutton Story' and 'Small Sacrifices.'
Named by AOL TV as one of the sexiest women in television, the actress' memorable swimsuit poster lined walls, while her famous feathered hair was copied by women everywhere.
The star recently opened up about her fight against cancer in a TV documentary, 'Farrah's Story,' in which she said, "I do not want to die of this disease. So I say to God, 'It is seriously time for a miracle.'" And though Fawcett didn't get a miracle, friend Alana Stewart, who shot the documentary, said, "Her big message to people is don't give up, no matter what they say to you, keep fighting."

Fawcett left the show after only one season, but came back sporadically in later years. She was replaced by the also saucy Cheryl Ladd. The show ran until 1981.
