FRIDAY, JUNE 26
'Virtuality' (8PM, Fox)
High concept it is, but this new sci-fi series also comes from 'Battlestar Galactica' creator Ron Moore, which means it automatically warrants a trial viewing by the 'BSG' devoted. As for that concept: The Phaeton is a
spaceship from earth, sent off to explore a nearby star system for 10 years, and to put the crew at ease, the ship has been equipped with virtual reality devices. Sounds good so far, no? The really high-concept, uh, concept: the crew's adventures are being broadcast back to earth via a reality show-within-the-show, called 'The Edge of Never.' But wait, don't let that throw you. Adding to the series' pedigree: the premiere is directed by actor and 'Friday Night Lights' producer Peter Berg.'Chopping Block' – Mario Batali and 'Sopranos' stars guest (8PM, NBC)
