2009 Fox Fall TV Premiere Dates

HouseFox is planning to enter the upcoming fall TV season a bit later this year.

Today, the network announced premiere dates for its biggest new and returning series, including 'House,' 'Fringe' and a brand new season of 'So You Think You Can Dance,' set to air beginning Sat., Sept. 12. This is the first time in years where Fox will debut shows closer to TV's official premiere week (beginning Sept. 21), according to the Hollywood Reporter.

    'Law & Order: SVU' is ordering more episodes with Stephanie March, scoops the Ausiello Files. Show insiders claim March will be featured in at least 10 episodes next season, while one or two characters may be added while she is away. Maybe Hargitay and Meloni will finally take a hint.     'I Get That a Lot' Returning to CBS

    CBS is adding a lot more of 'I Get That a Lot.' According to Variety, the network will air three more editions of the hidden-camera series, which documents celebrities trying to convince everyday people that they are simply celeb lookalikes. No word which celebrities will be featured next season. (Jun. 15)

    VH1 Has 'OCD'

    VH1 is set to air the untitled 'OCD Project,' a new unscripted series about people who suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder. The show will be produced by 3 Ball Prods., and is said to be filmed in the same vein as 'Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew,' according to Variety. Looks like we've just discovered our next obsession.     'Top Chef Masters' Draws Low Audience

    'Top Chef Masters' is proving to be a bit of a slow cooker. 'Top Chef''s celebrity edition earned 1.4 million viewers last Wednesday, with 600,000 more tuning in for the 11PM encore. That's down about half the audience who tuned in for the premiere last season, the Live Feed reports. So much for this being a meal ticket. (Jun. 15)

    'Chuck' Star Goes to 'HawthoRNe'

    'Chuck' co-star Sarah Lancaster is checking in to TNT's new medical drama 'HawthoRNe.' According to the Ausiello Files, Lancaster will play girlfriend to 'My Boys'' Reid Scott, who undergoes a potentially deadly surgery to fix his face after he's injured in a motorcycle accident. Proving that TV casting is a small world. (Jun. 15)

    'My Name Is Earl' Officially Canceled

    It looks like 'My Name Is Earl' won't be heading to a different network after all. A deal could not be reached with TBS due to economic constraints, reports Variety. 'Earl' ends after four seasons on NBC -- but, wait, what happens to his list now? (Jun. 12)

    Roberts on a 'Crash' Course

    Eric Roberts is joining the cast of 'Crash.' The Oscar-nominated actor will play an entrepreneur trying to bring a football team to L.A., says Variety, joining an all-star cast that includes Dennis Hopper and Tess Harper. 'Crash' premieres Sept. 18 on Starz. (Jun. 12)

    O'Brien Fights Back

    Conan O'Brien found himself back on top of the ratings war Wednesday night, says the Live Feed. The episode earned 'The Tonight Show' a 3.2 rating, beating out 'Letterman''s 3.1, while marking the show's first audience growth since it premiered on June 1. Somewhere, Sarah Palin is smiling.     Spike TV to Air Carradine Marathon

    Fans looking to honor the late David Carradine's career can tune in to Spike TV's all-day marathon on Saturday. The network will show double runs of 'Kill Bill: Volume 1,' 'Volume 2' and 'Kung Fu Killer,' according to the Hollywood Reporter. (Jun. 12)

    Davis Joins 'Tara'

    Oscar nominee Viola Davis ('Doubt') will co-star on season 2 of 'The United States of Tara.' Davis will play Lynda, according to the Hollywood Reporter, an unconventional artist who appears in 7 of the season's 12 episodes. Davis should be a scene-stealer -- make no 'Doubt' about it. (Jun. 12)
