There Was Nothing on TV Last Night, So What Did You Watch?

Man Vs WildWe all watch a lot of TV around here, with some of us DVRing far more shows than is possible to consume in a week. So imagine our surprise when some of us got home, turned on the tube and discovered ... um, nothing. And it wasn't due to a mechanical malfunction (this time) -- there was just nothing on TV last night.

My DVR only recorded one show yesterday: the finale of 'Out of the Wild: The Alaska Experiment.' After that, I caught up on last week's 'Man Vs. Wild' episode featuring Will Ferrell.

So, today, I asked my co-workers what they watched during Tuesday night's barren television wasteland. Responses below. -- By Kelly Woo

Sandy
: I finished watching 'Tropic Thunder,' which I had recorded on cable earlier in the week. Then I squeezed in Monday's episode of 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' -- where Kate literally smacked Emeril around with a spatula -- before 'Real Housewives of NJ' came on. Thank god for "bubbies" and bad hair!

Katy: I channel surfed and wound up waiting it out till 10PM for '48 Hours Mystery' and repeats of 'The Office.'

Andy: There WAS something on TV last night: 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey.' Teresa finally got her new "bubbies," which was pretty hilarious, but it was all ruined by Danielle's played out drama. Of course, I'll deny ever saying that if next week's catfight is as awesome as it looked in the preview. Also: Is it just me or are the real stars of 'New Jersey' the kids? Somebody give Gia and Lexi their own spin-off.

Janine: Watched 2 episodes of 'Nurse Jackie' on Showtime on Demand. I approve.

Angie: We watched day-old eps of 'The Daily Show' and 'The Colbert Report' (his first from Baghdad -- brilliant!), and we also caught an old episode of 'Parks and Recreation' that was randomly on our DVR. It was the first time we saw the Amy Poehler sitcom, and I don't know if we just happened upon an especially good ep or what, but we were pleasantly surprised, ie it wasn't as bad as we thought.

Alexis: 'Real Housewives.' There really is a lull right now.

Stephen from Urlesque: I was forced to watch 'Mental,' which I'm pretty sure is made by high school students for extra credit. Then, of course, I jumped to the old DVR to watch old episodes of 'House Hunters International.' I watch this because it's fun to see houses with water heaters in the kitchen. Weird!

So, what do YOU watch Tuesday nights? Post in the comments below! And if you tweet about what you watched, hashtag it with #lastnightiwatched
