On the heels of yesterday's cancellation of 'The Unit,' CBS is now saying goodbye to 'Without a Trace' and 'Eleventh Hour.''Eleventh Hour' ran for one season in the network's 10PM slot, which will now be filled by ratings juggernaut 'The Mentalist,' according to Variety.
Meanwhile, the Ausiello Files says 'Without a Trace''s cancellation came down to the wire. 'Trace' battled 'Numb3rs' for the network's final spot, but lost out because 'Numb3rs' is reportedly "less expensive to produce."
This wraps up seven seasons of 'Without a Trace,' which won a Golden Globe award for star Anthony LaPaglia. In addition to 'Eleventh Hour' and 'The Unit,' it vanishes from CBS along side freshman series 'Harper's Island' and 'Worst Week.'
Talk about a bad week.

Why are you cancelling one of the best shows on tv. Shows like the Simpsons live on a glorified cartoon.Cancel some of the so called reality shows. They are a waste of time. Watching people that are Lost or trying to win the great Race, like these shows take a lot of talent.

I hate that they have cancelled Eleventh Hour. It was a really great show and the star, Rufus Sewell, was incredible. With all the garbage on TV, it was great to watch something that was entertaining, as well as intelligent. What a loss!

Are you kidding me? Cancelling Eleventh Hour and Without a Trace? Two of the shows my husband and I watch faithfully. Time to renew my Netflix contract and watch videos. What a waste..and to some fluff instead. You have just lost faithful viewers and I am sure we are not the only ones who will boycott CBS until these two shows are back where they belong.

I can't believe they are cancelling Without a Trace. It's always the good shows they let go and they keep the garbage. This is the reason I hate to start getting into a show that comes on because when I am really into it, next thing you know its gone. There are plenty of shows that can be taken off instead of the good ones.
11th Hour FAN! at 9:41PM on May 20th 2009
I cannot believe that you are cancelling Eleventh Hour and Without a Trace. These are two of the most popular shows on TV. They are suspensful and entertaining. With all the CRAP on TV why would you want to take off decent shows. The ONLY reason we will continue to watch CBS is because of NCIS and Numb3rs. I certainly hope that you do NOT cancel those or you will loose two more viewers. NOT A SMART MOVE CBS!!!!!!

CBS what are you thinking?! :( Cancelling Without a Trace, one of the best shows on TV.
Moving it to Tuesdays in our home town made Tuesday evenings worth waiting for. You've lost a loyal fine. Mr. Lapaglia you rock!!!
Lori at 11:27AM on May 21st 2009
They will cancel a great show like Without a Trace to put on more dumb reality shows. Stupid move CBS!!!
Patti and Tim at 4:47PM on May 21st 2009
This is a BIG mistake. I heard they were canceling Cold Case too. CBS has always been our favorite network. There is already too many crappy shows on TV and FEW good ones to watch anymore! NO MORE REALITY TV!
GREED is taking the good shows away so they can be replaced with Reality TV which cost MUCH LESS with a lot more profit from Advertising.
LIFE is Reality enough for many of us and we want real entertaining TV shows.
Bring back Without A Trace and Cold Case!

CBS made a terrible mistake cancelling the only show I watch, ELEVENTH HOUR. I will never watch anything on CBS again in my life. Unless the bring EH back.
