ABC Cancels 'The Unusuals'; Renews 'Scrubs,' 'Castle' and More
'The Unusuals' has been canceled. The freshman drama series has been pulled from ABC's lineup after a poor performance in the ratings, says the LA Times. On a brighter note: Variety reports that 'Castle,' 'Scrubs' and 'Better Off Ted' have all been renewed. They'll be joined by eight new series next season, including 'The Middle,' starring Patricia Heaton, Kelsey Grammer's 'Hank' and 'Cougar Town' with Courteney Cox. Fox Releases Fall Schedule
Fox has just unveiled schedules for its fall 2009 and winter 2010 seasons. Among the favorites returning this fall: 'House,' airing Mondays at 8PM before 'Lie to Me,' plus 'Bones,' 'Dollhouse' and 'Fringe,' which is moving to Thursday night's highly competitive 9PM slot. Also joining the fall is an additional season of 'So You Think You Can Dance,' which has snagged a two-hour spot on Tuesdays, followed by an 8PM results show on Wednesdays before 'Glee.' Meanwhile, the new comedy series 'Brothers' will be paired with ''Til Death' on Fridays, while newbies 'Human Target,' 'Past Life' and 'Sons of Tucson' will be held for midseason. And now for the bad news: 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' has been canceled. Get the full schedule at Variety. (May 18)

ABC Cancels 'Samantha Who?'
'Samantha Who?' is disappearing from ABC's lineup. The Christina Applegate vehicle, which won an Emmy last year for co-star Jean Smart, declined steadily in the ratings over two seasons, and is now being canceled after the show failed to cut back its budget, according to Variety. On the bright side, maybe Samantha won't remember this. Get the latest updates by using our 2009 upfronts grid. (May 18)

NBC Renews 'Chuck'
'Chuck' has officially been saved. The cult NBC series will be back for 13 episodes, scoops the Ausiello Files, after agreeing to budget concessions. Among the reported cuts: the axing of two staff writers, and reducing the number of episodes that certain supporting cast members will appear on. 'Cold Case' Renewed; CBS Greenlights Three Pilots
'Cold Case' is reportedly coming back for more. The CBS series has been picked up for a seventh season, says the Ausiello Files, while the future of 'Without a Trace' remains "unlikely." Meanwhile, the network has also given the OK to three new pilots: the medical drama 'Three Rivers,' 'The Good Wife,' starring 'ER''s Julianna Margulies, and the still-untitled 'NCIS' spin-off, according to Variety. 'Scrubs' Cast Signs for Season 9
You know that pitch-perfect 'Scrubs' series finale that aired last week? Well, it's looking like it won't be J.D. and co.'s swan song after all. Though ABC hasn't officially renewed 'Scrubs,' the Hollywood Reporter confirms that almost all the original cast has already signed on for a possible Season 9. Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke have inked deals for six episodes apiece, while Donald Faison, John C. McGinley and Neil Flynn would be series regulars should their pilots not get picked up. (May 15)

Hello CBS, You are my main network station but you have a lot of shows I watch TBD/on the bubble. To name a few Cold Case (I forget to watch on Sundays, it needs a better time); Criminal Minds (come on it was fighting time with Lost?); the only CSI I watch now is NY now that Grissom is gone from the original and the Miami one? I would rather watch Medium. 11th Hour and Harper's Island I was watching until you changed the day and time one time and then totally messed me up. I love NCIS and the Mentalist and Without a Trace, that's my Tuesday nite schedule. Then there is The Unit, it's that Sunday nite thing again, when I am doing other things, but would probably watch it if I would remember.
Please stay my #1 network.
FOX-You killed Prison Break when you put in against Ghost Whisperer, what were you thinking? I am totally disgusted with you for canceling it.

I can't believe ABC canceled "Samantha Who". It's one of the best shows they have. It actually has great writing and great acting which a lot of shows don't. The rest of the ABC shows can't keep me from changing the channel.
"Samantha Who" suffered from the writers strike, as many others did.
Maybe if ABC would stop switching times and putting it on hold "Samantha Who" would get a real chance. Try promotion. Christina Applegate is an Emmy winner & Jean Smart won one for "Samantha Who". Promote that and the show and maybe I'd feeding my dogs instead of be writing this. It's one of the smart and funny shows that should be on CBS where they kept giving "30 Rock" a chance. It worked. "30 Rock" got Emmys for Best Comedy Series and for writing. Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin both won Emmys along with a second Best Comedy Show.
If they had canceled it, it would have been one of those wonderful shows that get canceled such as "Arrested Developement". "Arrested Developement" won for best comedy and Jason Bateman won. That's it cancel a show, it's off the air and it wins Emmys. Strange.
ABC only has three shows that I watch. And they're canceling two, "Samantha Who" and they already had canceled "Pushing Daisies". Now I'll just have ABC on for one hour a week when "Ugly Betty" is on. They gave that show an extra chance which was smart.
ABC also picked up "Scrubs" when it got canceled. I don't get it. ABC has five shows they picked up that I haven't even heard of. Maybe there's a few people who would watch "Samantha Who" if... stuff I already wrote.
I have to feed my dogs now.

I personally can't believe how many CBS shows are still to be determined.. most of which are shows I watch faithfully or usually (those tend to be the shows in bad timeslots for me).
'Cold Case' - usually
'Criminal Minds' - usually
'CSI' - faithfully
'CSI: NY' - usually
'Eleventh Hour' - faithfully
'Flashpoint' - usually
'Harper's Island' - faithfully
'The Mentalist' - faithfully
'NCIS' - faithfully
'Numb3rs' - usually
'Without a Trace' - usually
The only cancelled (so-far) shows that I will miss are on ABC.. Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone, but they went off the air already... just wish they had finished them first. I would like to know the outcome of characters that I was invested in watching weekly!

My husband and I both are glad that Chuck was picked up. Elli Stone and Chuck are two of our favorites with 30 Rock in comming in thrid. Since Boston legal was canceled what show is on the tube for those of us mature viewers?

The Unit is great! Better each season, others have run their course... many situations to resolve - Put it in a time slot that isn't delayed for every golf, football or basketball game...

All the ABC shows shown on the chopping block are better than many of the shows picked up by all the networks. Dirty Sexy Money was a guilty pleasure filled with a quality cast. Pushing Up Daisies was fresh and fun also with a wonderful ensemble of characters. Eli Stone was a unique twist on the Legal Shows with favorite veteran actor Victor Garber. ABC...I'm really disappointed in you.

REALLY CBS??????????? If I don't watch these shows when they are on due to other obligations, this is what fills my dvr for a lazy sunday afternoon/evening. If these shows all go off, I may as well sell my television and dvr.
TBD/On the Bubble:
- 'Criminal Minds'
- 'CSI'
- 'CSI: Miami'
- 'CSI: NY'
- 'Eleventh Hour'
- 'Flashpoint'
- 'Harper's Island'
- 'The Mentalist'
- 'NCIS'
- 'Numb3rs'

REAPER should survive, let's hope the bubble doesn't pop! I'm happy though surprised about Dollhouse, and got my fingers crossed for REAPER. Support all genre shows! Reaper fans, write to your CW affiliate (look them up at http://www.cwtv.com/stations). Ask them to support getting a third season of Reaper for Sunday nights. Tell them there is loyal fan support for this show in your area.

ARE YOU KIDDING ABC? Every show you cancelled were the best ones, get rid of those stupid reality (that are actually non-reality) just cause it is cheap for your network! The Unusuals was a great fresh new show, I am so mad at you I cannot go on! ALSO, NBC, you're a bunch of idiots as well getting rid of Lipstick Jungle and Life! But you were Smart enough to keep Southland
Sara Magalotti at 8:54AM on May 19th 2009
CBS, you're on my *** list! ALL the shows I watch faithfully are on the TBD/Bubble list, like
NCIS
The Mentalist
Cold Case
Without a Trace
Numb3rs (one of the VERY few intelligent shows on TV)
and you picked up/renewed absolute garbage.
And, to make things worse, NBC is doing the same to "Medium" -- I may as well give up the cable subscription and stick to videos.
And,
