ABC has pulled the plug on 'The Unusuals.' The midseason series has been canceled after just one season on the network, presumably due to a low performance in the ratings. Meanwhile, 'Castle,' 'Scrubs' and 'Better Off Ted' have each received season renewal orders, while the network passed on the Emmy-winning comedy 'Samantha Who?'.In other cancellation news, Fox is bidding farewell to 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.' The news was made official today with the release of their fall 2009 and winter 2010 schedules, which includes brand new seasons of 'Bones,' 'Dollhouse' and others, as well as an in-season order of 'So You Think You Can Dance.'
On a brighter note, NBC has officially saved 'Chuck.' The series will return next year under a new 13-episode order -- but with considerable budget constraints. At least TV fans were able to win one battle this season.

Cancel The Unusuals and then a show like Dollhouse continues???? Give me a break. The unusuals was clever with an edge unlike other police shows. Hmm clever and TV networks - that's the problem I suppose.

Stoked that "Chuck" was renewed, hopefully "Life" will be picked up as well!

These are the same geniuses on ABC that killed a better show, that carried better ratings in the same time slot--Life on Mars. Will they ever learn. ABC starts every season with fans of their most recent poorly promoted well produced shows angry at them and not watching the next wave of new shows. If you want to help us stop this cycle come to the 125 Life on Mars fan site . See what we are doing and join our efforts. Thank You

I LOVED The Unusuals and am very disappointed to hear it's been canceled. It was a very clever show. I don't think ABC even gave it a chance!

Once in a great while a good TV program happens such as "The Unusuals" and then the wise heads decide to cancel it!! Based on what? The acting is good, the writing is good, the premise is good.
Please change your collective wisdom and keep the show on. Thank you!

I knew it was too good to last! The Unusuals was the first show in years that absolutely captured me. My husband loved it, too. It was smart and quirky, just enough edge, but not so much angst that you couldn't handle it with the way things are in real life right now. It was one of those shows that, I think, if given enough time could have become a megahit. But, it needed time, something the producers apparently don't understand. You know MASH wasn't a hit in the first season. Do you guys ever consider how many hits you've passed on because you're too antsy? Stupid, Stupid, on this one.
