You don't have to look far on TV series to find crappy moms, but those are just shows, right? Writers create those characters, they're not real ... except when they are. We took a look at reality shows and realized that these bad mothers deserve a poll of their own. Julie Cooper Nichol's got nothing on you, Dina Lohan, Denise Richards -- and the list goes on.

Why She's Bad: This former Playboy Playmate, who's dated Billy Idol and Dennis Quaid, has aired all her dirty laundry in public. Then there was her on-again, off-again marriage to Travis Barker; during one separation, she allegedly punched his rumored paramour, Paris Hilton. Being outclassed by Paris? Not hot.

Show: 'Sober House'
Why She's Bad: This one-time stripper, who finished third on the first season of 'American Idol,' was addicted to cocaine and alcohol, reportedly attempted suicide and allegedly was placed in a psych ward after kicking out the windows of a cop car. After signing up for 'Celebrity Rehab,' McKibbin is sober (for now).

Why She's Bad: Pushy and sometimes crass Joan has coddled daughter Melissa, who rode mom's coattails to make a name for herself. The duo is always joined at the hip -- leaving Joan perpetually up in her 40-something daughter's business. The elder Rivers may have coined the term "helicopter parent."

Why She's Bad: If you thought your mom was embarrassing, try being Ramona's daughter, Avery. Not only are her classmates avoiding her these days, word is Avery's school is so embarrassed by Ramona's 'Real Housewives' antics that she is no longer welcome on campus. We can only imagine what her parent-teacher conferences must be like.

Why She's Bad: When Charlie Sheen thinks you're crossing the line, you probably are. Richards' famous ex-husband unsuccessfully sued to keep their two young daughters from appearing on her reality show, which barely got renewed for a second season.

Why She's Bad:The bawdy heavy metal mom has 'fessed up to being a lousy mum, saying, "Something always has to give, and, in my case, it was my kids." Osbourne even admitted to allowing son Jack to be corrupted by Hollywood; in fact, almost the entire family has battled drug and alcohol addiction.

Why She's Bad: Sister Patterson didn't have much love for the men of 'I Love New York.' She put a damper on her daughter's search for love with background checks, accusations of homosexuality and -- in the case of Chance -- a $5,000 offer to leave the show. To make matters worse, she even made out with an ex-suitor (Champion) during the season 2 reunion. Like mother, like daughter?

Why She's Bad: Aside from starting all her daughters' names with the letter "K"? Kris constantly injects herself into their lives. As Kim Kardashian's manager, she helped her daughter land a Playboy spread and distributed a sexually provocative calendar without Kim's consent. No wonder it seems like they're all living in a 'Girls Gone Wild' video.

Why She's Bad: While Vicki is a hard-working mother of two, she also has a tendency to let loose her inner wild child -- especially in front of her kids. I was enjoying that show but Kate started to irk me the last few weeks. I hope they stay together for the sake of the kids.

PLEASE give me a break, moms yell at their kids sometimes, thats gonna happen! (This must be written by a man whose not home all day with the kids.)
Kate is home all day with eight kids, there is going to be some yelling. Show me a mother who doesn't yell at her kids, and I'll give her the Mother Of The Year award.
You all need the leave Kate alone. Lets put a camera in your house and lets see what goes on!

Wow. I think Kate does not have to be in here. How many of you get mad when you are stressed out or something? Thats what i thought, a couple of you. Now yes Kate 8 kids and dont you think a little stress is in the way. To me she is a normal mom and i think she is doing all she can for her kids and Jon. That is my opinion.

Kate and Jon fell in love then along came twins then sextuplets! The should be in a psychiatric ward.They have no personal life and are totally burnt out.

I am sure if someone video taped you for one day, most of you would realize that you do the same thing too. I think for as much as they have going on, they both handle things very well.

You know what i am tired of seeing crap written about kate gosselin. she is an awesome mom. she does all that she can for those kids. yes she yells but what mom doesnt. and how many of us that do have 8 kids like her. I dont even know her but i wish people would just leave her alone. she is an awesome mom and an role model. if you dont like her than here is a solution dont watch her show!

That iss how moms are the yelling&nagging is just a part of the job description.
Kate may be a little OCD but she's a good mother.

Kate's screaming and nagging is understandable, however, her hitting her husband on a regular basis is not. Can you imagine the screams of outrage if it was Jon punching and slapping her? Please...no wonder the man is stepping out.

why do people think all these weirdos who want to have a litter are good people. people who have so many children aren't pro-family,in fact they're the exact opposite. their behavior amounts to child abuse. there's no way parents can give any real individual attention to any child in a situation like that, even if television producers edit a show to make it look like they do.
