'Spider-Man 2'
Mon., April 6, 8PM on FX
What It's About: Tormented Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) battles a sinister scientist who uses mechanical tentacles for destructive purposes.
What the Critics Said: Critics were caught in a web of praise, with some ready to name it the best super-hero movie ever.
We Say: 'Spider-Man 2''s high-flying action set the bar high and made every other super-hero movie look just plain silly (yes, even the original Spidey); not until 2008's 'The Dark Knight' did a comic book movie ever meet the genre's new standards.
