'Heaven Can Wait'
Mon., March 30, 8PM on TCM
What It's About: Heavenly executive Mr. Jordan allows an angry quarterback (Warren Beatty), taken before his time, to return to Earth as a millionaire.
Fun Fact: A remake of 1941's 'Here Comes Mr. Jordan,' 'Heaven Can Wait' was later re-imagined by Chris Rock in the 2001 turkey 'Down to Earth.'
We Say: By combining all the right movie ingredients -- sports, romance, and comedy, just to name a few -- Beatty's remake is one of those rare flicks that anyone can enjoy. And with the help of terrific supporting performances from Charles Grodin and Oscar nominees Jack Warden and Dyan Cannon , 'Heaven Can Wait' scores a real touchdown.
