ER was a great series; many stories at once. Carter and Mark Greene were the strongest male characters; Abby Lockhart and the gal that was the eventual wife of George Clooney's character were the best.

luka kovac was my favorite character. how come he is not in the finale? and ER was an amazing show, it never got stale between character developments and fast paced life in the trauma the show is always exciting

Wow... I think Luka should be a choice on that favorite character question! He was definitely my favorite and I didn't start watching until season 6.. and frankly I haven't watched since Book of Abby!

I've watched from the very first minute and loved how they focused upon Mark Greene most but generally the entire staff. The show started to put me to sleep, however, then woke me up when Clooney left and Goran Visnjic came aboard. Let's get real here, too. Luka was on the show much, much longer than Doug. I will forever and always remember loving ER most during the Luka years (even if there were periods of lousy writing for much of that time). Though I loved many of the original characters, in the end I have to admit it was Luka, not Doug or Doug/Carol, or Mark, or Benton, or John that kept me watching ER. Luka. It's time for the show to be done but that doesn't negate the fact that it's like watching a good friend pass away. I literally WOKE UP because of Luka being on the show, and I will miss those good years of having ER with Luka and Abby.

I loved George Clooney and when he left, I fell in love with Luka

I miss Luka more than the other male doctors! Can't figure out why he wasn't one of the choises...oh well. I think the last few years have been the best, love the cast they have now and wish that Luka, Abby and Pratt were back! All of them now make the show really great and I've watched it from the very start. Sad to see it end! I don't know how it is going to end next week, seems like a lot of open ended story lines. Hopefully we will see a spin off or two....Good luck to the entire cast and thanks for the memories! Niki in Culver City

Are Chunie, Malik, and Halle the only original cast members left?

Very good at the begining, got preachy and way too political in the early 2000's and that pushed me away.

Romano being splattered by the helicopter was thee BEST send off in TV history! Hilarious!!!! He screamed like a girl! That scene was great. I still laugh thinking about it.

I watched it from the beginning and it rarely ever disappointed me. I think my favorite ER Doc was actually Susan Lewis, there was such a real quality to her, but Marc Greene was the heart of that show, you always wanted good things to happen to him and sometimes they did.
