What to Watch Wednesday, March 18

Better Off Ted'Better Off Ted'
(8:30PM, ABC) series premiere
Veridian Dynamics' Research and Development head Ted is beginning to wonder if his company might be just a tad shy of what could be termed ethical.

The single dad ('Desperate Housewives' Jay Harrington) is a team player in this new workplace comedy (he helps Veridian turn pumpkins into weapons of mass destruction for a foreign client), but now his frosty boss Veronica (Portia de Rossi) wants Ted to cryogenically freeze one of his co-workers.

Even Ted's seven-year-old thinks it's a bad idea, and further interaction with one-night-stand Veronica could hurt Ted's chances with his new co-worker crush, but as he soon finds out, Veronica doesn't like to take no for an answer.

'Scrubs'
(8PM, ABC)
When trying to come up with a way to restore a paralyzed teenager's ability to walk, where does a fine surgeon like Turk turn for inspiration? 'SportsCenter,' of course.

'CSI: NY'
(10PM, CBS)
Pete Wentz and the missus, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, guest star as a Bonnie-and-Clyde-ish couple who may be involved in a murder at a sleazy motel. Eh, as long as eyeliner is allowed in prison, they'll be okay.

'Lost'
(9PM, ABC)
Now that the gang's back together, will Sawyer continue his affair with Juliet, or will he run back to his Freckles?

'Damages'
(10PM, FX)
Ellen finds out a dark secret about Patty. Who woulda thought there were any left?

'The Exterminators'
(10:30PM, A&E)
Billy, go ahead and be a hero: The Vexcon pest controller takes on an alligator who's stalking pet llamas on a ranch.

'High School Reunion'
(10PM, TV Land)
When enemies Liz and Jenny get a detention, they're forced to be alone and talk, and Dennis continues to stir up trouble when he asks Kara on a date and potentially messes up her reunion with ex-hubby Tom.

Also on tonight:
- 'America's Next Top Model' (8PM, CW)
- 'Inside the FBI' (8PM, Discovery)

What's on tomorrow: '30 Rock,' 'Taking the Stage and more
