Chevy Chase returns to television, Ron Silver passes away and more ...

Chevy Chase is about to re-join the NBC community.

The iconic TV star has snagged a role in the upcoming comedy series 'Community,' where he'll play a community college student opposite 'The Soup''s Joel McHale.

In other news, star Ron Silver passed away over the weekend. According to reports, the Emmy-nominated actor lost his two-year battle with esophageal cancer early Sunday morning.
