What to Watch Thursday, Jan. 8

30 rock'30 Rock'
(9:30PM, NBC)
Despite her rather disastrous attempt to be approved for adoption, Liz Lemon's dream of motherhood is still alive.

In tonight's new episode, Jenna thinks it's that desire to have a child that's driving Liz's attraction to her new guy (guest star Peter Dinklage).

Meanwhile, in this guest star-heavy installment, Jack tries to help Tracy and his wife (guest Sherri Shepherd) seal the deal on a 'post-nuptial' agreement, while delving into a relationship of his own with Elisa (guest Salma Hayek), the woman who's been hired to take care of his prickly mom.

'14th Annual Critics' Choice Awards'

(9PM, VH1)
It's that magical time of year again, when millionaire celebrities say "Seven-figure paydays aren't enough; give us goody bags and statues!" We're paraphrasing, of course.

'Grey's Anatomy'
(9PM, ABC)
Eric Stoltz guest stars as a death row inmate who comes to the hospital in need of a life-saving procedure. And in less ironic news, yes, Izzie's still seeing dead Denny.

'Snapped'
(10PM, Oxygen) 8th season premiere
In the latest sordid tale of evildoing women, a young bride and her bodybuilder hubby become the suspects when another woman -- who had accused the bodybuilder of sexual assault -- is murdered.

'Greg Behrendt's Wake Up Call'
(10PM, SoapNet) series premiere
The comedian uses the same philosophies he shared as author of the bestselling book 'He's Just Not That Into You' to counsel real-life couples with conflicts, like tonight's image-obsessed woman who's all up in her fiance's Kool-Aid about being more successful.

'Private Practice'
(10PM, ABC)
Should Violet and Pete consider turning their hook-ups into a real relationship? And more importantly, should more shirtless scenes be written for Taye Diggs? The answers: Whatever, and, duh!

'College Football: FedEx BCS National Championship'
(8:15PM, Fox)
Oklahoma and Florida, both 12-1, duke it out to see who'll be the numero uno team for the season.

'Principal's Office'
(10PM, truTV)
'Dirty Dancing' ... a great Patrick Swayze movie, but not, as some toe tappin', hips-grindin' high schoolers are about to find out, a great move in front of your school's principal.

Also on tonight:
- 'Dragon's Den' (8PM, BBC America) 4th season premiere
- 'ER' (10PM, NBC)

What's on tomorrow: 'Monk,' 'Lipstick Jungle' and more
