What to Watch Monday, Dec. 8

boston legal'Boston Legal'
(9PM, ABC) series finale
Five seasons of wacky criminal trials, a frat-like law office and, of course, the highly quotable Denny Crane wrap up with a two-hour series finale.

The legal eagles of Crane Poole & Schmidt major financial woes, with a potential sale is putting a damper on Shirley and Carl's pending nuptials.

Meanwhile, Shirley has chosen a special man to walk her down the aisle -- ex-love Denny (Emmy winner William Shatner) -- but the outspoken attorney has bigger things on his plate; he's waiting for pal Alan (Emmy winner James Spader) to get the court's permission for Denny to try an experimental drug that could slow down his Alzheimer's.

'Gossip Girl'
(8PM, The CW)
We're not gonna spill the beans on the 'family tragedy' that's been hinted at for weeks, but the episode is called 'O Brother, Where BART Thou?'

'Scream Queens'
(10PM, VH1) 1st season finale
Lindsay, Michelle or Tanedra: one will win herself a choice role in 'Saw VI,' coming to a theater near you in October 2009.

'Chuck'
(8PM, NBC)
Having Morgan Fairchild and Bruce Boxleitner play Captain Awesome's parents was, well, awesome, but tonight's stint with another '80s and '90s fave -- Gary Cole -- as Sarah's dad is nothing short of guest casting genius.

'Privileged'
(9PM, The CW)
And another fine choice in parental guest stars: Sharon Lawrence plays Megan's mom, who just pops up for a visit out of the blue, years after she abandoned her fam.

'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles'
(8PM, Fox)
Everyone who's definitely going to make it to the end of tonight's episode, take one step forward. Uh, Jesse, not so fast ...

'Heroes'
(9PM, NBC)
Major happenings: Claire and Hiro go back in time to the moment baby Claire was handed off to HRG, while Sylar gets a new power and uses it to interrupt Peter and the Haitian while they're trying to interrupt -- permanently -- Papa Petrelli.

'Taboo'
(10PM, NGC)
A look at how different societies express their sexuality, including one that encourages its members to let their freak flags fly.

Also on tonight:
- 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' (8PM, ABC)
- 'Top Gear' (8PM, BBC America) 11th season premiere

What's on tomorrow: 'A Double Shot at Love,' 'House' and more
