10 Questions With Amy Poehler
September 10 -- Amy Poehler's got a couple of big upcoming projects: an NBC sitcom from 'The Office' folks and her first child with hubby Will Arnett. Come Emmy night, the funny couple may have something else to celebrate, since she's nominated for her work on 'Saturday Night Live' and he's up for his '30 Rock' guest spot. Poehler talked to AOL TV about her future baby, her Nickelodeon cartoon 'The Mighty B!' and appearing in a movie she'd actually see. -- By Kimberly Potts

1. Congrats on your Emmy nom.
Thanks! It's the first time [the cast of 'SNL'] was eligible [for Outstanding Supporting Performer in a Comedy Series], so it's awesome. There're certainly plenty of [cast members] before me who deserved to be nominated [in that category]. I just happened to be the first at the party, so I'm thrilled to be invited.

2. Where were you when you found out?
My husband and I were in New York, asleep, and I just told my parents to call us if they heard any news. It was great that we both were nominated. Will's hilarious on '30 Rock,' and I have to say, I assumed he would be nominated.

3. Do you know what you'll wear to the ceremony?
Oh, God, I don't know what I'm going to wear. I look at all those beautiful women at award shows like, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and they look so amazing. My brother says it'll be easy to spot me, because I'll take up two spots on the red carpet. I'm just hoping someone hands me an ice cream on the way up.

4. What can you share about your new NBC sitcom?
[Laughing] Not too much. I can tell you that I'm thrilled to be working with ['Office' producers] Mike Schur and Greg Daniels. Their work speaks for itself. [That said] this show isn't going to be connected to 'The Office.' It's really in its infant stages, for lack of a better term, and it's going to debut in the spring some time.

5. Will you be back on 'SNL' this season?
Only for the fall. We start our season on Sept. 13, and then we also have a bunch of primetime election specials, and I'm going to try to do my best behind the ['Weekend Update'] desk. I'll stay as long as I can until my little human package arrives. [Laughing]

6. Your animated series 'The Mighty B!' is adorable. Is it fun to do?
Yes. [The protagonist] Bessie is at that innocent stage, that optimistic moment when she thinks she can be a dancer, an actor, a singer, an astronaut, a waitress, a veterinarian, all those things at once. I love that. It's getting harder and harder to keep girls from falling into, you know, all the images and stuff that they see. It's really awesome to catch them right before, when they're so excited about everything.

7. Was appearing in 'Hamlet 2' as much fun as it looked?
Yeah, I was so lucky to get to work on that. I just came in for a few days to play this lawyer with a foul mouth, and it was really fun. It's nice when I read a script that makes me laugh out loud, and frankly, to do a film that I'd actually go to see. I haven't always applied that to the stuff I've done.

8. I read online that you're nicknamed Poehlercoaster? Is that true?
[Laughing] I thought you were going to say some of the other ones, like Cool Cat Amy. There are some old ones that really make me laugh, and they're totally fake. But yes, actually, Alex Baze, who's a writer on 'Weekend Update,' made up Poehlercoaster, and I think it was made into a headline one time. It's kind of like a cool roller-derby name.

9. Any plans to do another movie with Tina Fey?
Oh, I hope so. She's awesome and amazing, and I'd work with her anytime. And I have her home number, so she can't escape me.

SNL has got to be the WORST running show on TV, and that is saying something. The season opener this weekend will be additional proof. Since the original cast members the the performers have become more and more LAME. TF-AP-JF (SUCK!). It's embarassing to see these moron's succeed. Lorne Michaels is drunk with power and has absolutely lost his touch !!

The best thing Mz. Poehler could do for her career is to get the hell off of SNL. Somewhere along the line the writers forgot what made the show funny:topical humor and dead-on imitations. Now it's all about one joke skits that last too long and cast members desperately trying to come up with a catchphrase or a character that can get them into the movies. That dead dog really needs to be cancelled!

SNL STILL remains to be one of the funniest shows on television. All you people talking crap about SNL don't watch the show. SNL has consistantly produced superstar after superstar. Which other show has done that? MADTV? HAHA NOT!
JIMMYTHEFOX: YOU need to be cancelled. Turn the f-ing channel if it sucks so bad.
