Most Outrageous View' Moments
Any day you tune in to 'The View' -- a Daytime Emmy nominee for Best Talk Show and Best Talk Show Host -- is a day you might see spectacular drama. Things have calmed down since Rosie O'Donnell disengaged from battle and Star Jones was cut loose, but we remember the co-host shouting matches, the drunken guests, the footballs to the nose... and they're all on our list of the most outrageous 'View' moments ever.

20. She's Trapped in a Box
You know the joke about everyone hating mimes? Apparently Whoopi is the exception -- she was irate about a news report on the death of famous mime Marcel Marceau. Goldberg called Marceau a huge influence on her performances, and blasted two "disrespectful" ABC news anchors for their "poorly handled," irreverent story on his passing.

19. The Un-vitation
Star Jones wasn't the only one to feel the wrath of Walters. Comedienne Kathy Griffin, who'd been rumored as a potential new co-host, lost the slot when she poked fun at Babs in her stand-up routine, and was rudely rebuffed on air when she asked to come to one of Babs' parties, only to be told she'd never be invited to one of her soirees.

18. Playing Nice With Others
Elisabeth got her own verbal smackdown from Babs during a 'View' hot topics discussion on the "morning after" pill. Hasselbeck got so excited that she kept talking over the other hosts, prompting Walters to launch into a lecture on tolerance of other people's 'View'points.

17. The Joy of Reilly
Joy Behar can usually be counted on to try to defuse tensions sparked by her co-stars. But when Fox News talking head Bill O'Reilly guested on the show, all bets were off, and the two engaged in some verbal sparring. Said she: You're loud and old (we're paraphrasing). Said he: No, I'm just really virile. Sadly, not paraphrasing there.

16. Papa Don't Preach
After his notorious "rude little pig" voicemail to daughter Ireland became public, '30 Rock' star Alec Baldwin went on 'The View' to apologize. But a rant on self-hating tabloid media and an assertion that other parents verbally abuse their children, too, made the almost 20-minute segment less about the apology than about Baldwin's justification for the incident. And he's usually so funny on TV.

15. Mama Said Knock You Out
Former co-host Star Jones took a pigskin to the nose when retired NFL-er Jason Sehorn made a pass at her -- and not in a good way. She's got some protective padding (we're talking the football gear, so stop giggling) but did no one think she may need a helmet? Clearly, the 'View' crew never watched 'The Brady Bunch.'

14. When Life Hands You Limoncello
Danny DeVito, fresh off a night of partying with pal George Clooney (and downing seven limoncellos), appeared on the show in Nov. 2006, where he ranted about President Bush and made quips about his sex life with wife Rhea Pearlman. Before you could say "viral video," DeVito was introducing his own namesake version of the tart liqueur -- for those times you want to embarrass yourself in front of millions.

13. The China Syndrome
In the wake of Limoncellogate, O'Donnell adopted a bad Chinese accent, along with the words "ching chong, ching chong," while mocking how the story probably played out in China. Asian groups were understandably offended, leading to an apology, sorta, from O'Donnell, who said her comment "apparently was very offensive to a lot of Asian people."

12. No Longer a Fanilow?
Hasselbeck's opinions have made her unpopular with several guests on the show; one potential guest -- Barry Manilow -- even refused to go on 'The View' because he so strongly disagreed with Elisabeth's politics. Still, at least she didn't have to endure an on-air snub from him, as she did from both Glenn Close and Alicia Silverstone.

babs thinks to much of herself. she needs to lighten up. nobody wants to bow down to her on demand. she will find this out when she retires, which is probably why she is not totally doing it.

actually, yhay needed to be done. I am not saying the argument was right, Iam saying that without the ability to listen to someone else's point of view, we will never move forward toward peace and understanding in this world. You can hold on to your belief without shoving it down someone els's throat.

Just a few comments about the interview with the McCains. Joy, you were rude and wrong when you said the two ads about Obama were 'lies'. Do your homework next time by seeking the truth and not getting your info from liberal Democrats.
Barbara, I found you rude and biased with your questions and tone. You and your co-hosts didn't pose one rude question to either of the Obamas...you pandered to them.
Whoopi, you have never been a slave, so you don't have to concern yourself about 'going back to being a slave.' Perhaps you can't differentiate between real life and your role in "The Color Purple".
Sorry, Elisabeth, that the show isn't fair and balanced. It would have been more enjoyable if you had some support rather than having four against one, but this is what we have come to expect from liberal Democrats! They don't know the meaning of fair, and, obviously, don't care if what they say is a accurate!

Elizabeth, Tell your co=host to go jump in the lAKE 4 AGAINST ONE IS FAIR TO THOSE NUTS, i will not watch the show any longer when tou are gone. They could just rename the show "The Obama Show" and see if it works any better for them. They will never get an emmy with only one point of viewTell know it all Joy B, totry to shut up

I recently saw an actor who is in My Best Friend's Girl - and all I remember is that he was charming...saw the show girls - it was the worst let's f'em all....the dialogue was at hard core standard. (I saw one thirty years ago.) Half of the audience laughed , some left, and some whined, I don't believe it - this is awful! The next time this should or would happen - I will walk out and go straight to box office for my money back! It advertised as a cute comedy. WRONG. Kate Hudson is cute but what a TERRIBLE FILM, and it made 8 million so far. What has happened t our lives? Who are we as a society? Sincerely...Sally

I like The View & I watch it almost everyday. You ladies are not a bunch of "Shrinking Memosas." We need more people like you, who dare to speak and make a difference. Go Girl! This is my 4th attempt to send this email. Please tell me where Barbara Walters gets her beautiful graduated, cubelike brass colored choker necklace. I would love to buy that necklace. Please respond. Thank you.
